  • So great......

  • You should've heard them playing Gimme Some Lovin' and I'm a Man and their Yardbirds stuff before becoming irresistible. And that's Georges Arvanitas on organ, but Jimmy can play it no sweat.

  • I'm looking for an email address of a band member. Can someone help?

  • Isn't this the Montlhéry circuit?

  • The Guy in Yellow is my Dad

  • Les Irresistibles were going to high school at the American School in Paris, I believe, and I was going to Marymount in Bougival, and I still have their 45. I was sooo in love!!

  • Yep. We were at ASP.

  • Um. I think I, um, can resist. Yes, I think I definitely can. ;)

  • This melody song writer is french.

  • This may have been a bit before my time, but I dig it! You don't hear the harpischord in rock/pop music these days, do you?!

  • No harpsichord--that was Steve McMains Hammond organ,

  • I stand corrected! Listening to this song again, I hear it! How could I have made a silly mistake like that?!

  • No, it was Jim.

  • this song is really good are u kidding (orange guy is my dad)

  • So who remembers their concept Ip, "Baxter Williams"?? I still have it. And they were the Irresistibles BEFORE the BELOVED ONES--that was a name given to attract British response. Any other old ASP'ERS OUT THERE?

  • Hi there ! Yes I'm an old ASP !..... I knew them at the cantine at lunch time ! I used to listen this song on and on.... I probably still have the record in a box in the basement !

  • What grade(s) were you in? It really was a lifetime ago, wasn't it?

  • Hi ! I was attending the "special english" class and was not really in a grade. It was in 1968. You will find many old ASPers on Facebook. I found 2 friends there ! The group was one year older than us. But it was a great period !!!

  • What year? Were you the person who knocked over the frites dish? I was mistakenly blamed for this misdead and banned from the canteen for a week.

  • Oh ! No.... I would have never done such a thing ! ... Can you imagine how hard it was for me to be in a french school, dying to go at ASP and get closer to my american brothers and sisters ?? By the way, the food was awfull !

  • Je classe ''My Year is a Day'' parmi les 10 plus belles chansons au monde jamais écrites, après ''God only knows'' + '' Good Vibrations'' des Beach Boys, ''Nights in White Satin'' des Moody Blues, ''While My Guitar gently weeps'' des Beatles (Harrison) et ''Je t'aime Moi non Plus'' de Gainsbourg....

Pour ''My Year is a Day'', Merci à William Sheller (le compositeur).

  • it sends shivers down my spine, amazing time the 60s and the 70s

  • Had not heard this since 1968, in Paris... As a kid, I used to really like this song!!! Brings back many memories. Man do I feel old !

    Tristan

  • Does anyone have "Sunshine and You" ?

I've been looking for this song for years and never had the luck to find it...

  • I've got this MP3 ! I can send you by mail if you want ...?

  • Thanks! I sent you a message with y e-mail. :-)

  • william Sheller est vraiment doué

    bonne année 2009!

  • The song sucked but the Triumph TR5s were good

  • Who care about the song I love the 3 TR5s in the video and yes TR5s not TR4s

  • Such a great song! Thanks for posting.

  • Whaaouhh !

My yeeeear is a day ....la la la

  • I absolutely cannot believe this exists! Does anyone remember the LP "Baxter Williams" that they did? I went to the American School of Paris with the twin's younger brother..anyone else remember ASP in the very late 60's??

  • Merci pour cette si belle chanson

  • I went to High School with these guys and in 1969-70, they were one of the hottest groups in France. Brings back lots of memories.

  • We were gone by then. Graduated in 1969.

  • any idea where one might download a copy of the Baxter Williams LP?

  • Excellent !!!

I've just posted a LIVE version from this great song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tFwEPa5HjY

  • this has ben removed. what gives?

  • Cool stuff. Believe it or not, this was a US group originally named the Dearly Beloved that moved to France, in the same way as the Rokes from the UK made a career in Italy.

  • Must be sponserd by Triumph. Great odd 60's stuff! Thanks for charing.

  • thank you for this great video

  • From what I've been taught, this is one of the best French Scopitones ever made, and now, upon seeing it, I have to agree, it's very, very good.

Truly one of the best, if not the best!
