Psalm 16 "you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay"
The rest of the chapter is David writing about himself. Holy One is also translated as "devoted one." David probably did not write this as a prediction about the Messiah, but about himself as God's devoted one.
So "according to this scripture," there is probably nothing about the Messiah rising from the dead!
Yet we say Jesus "rose again according to the scriptures!" Please help.

What do you say about the objection that Isaiah repeatedly refers to "my servant" as Jacob and Israel? Does he ever refer to "my servant" as the Messiah? Thanks.
Other Signs of Christ's coming have occured. The Dark Day of May 19, 1780 , and the stars of Heaven falling on November 13, 1833. Nothing draws people away so much as organised religion and seeing people leaving their place of worship - they all look like consumers leaving the supermarket! It has always seemed to me that Jesus came to proclaim a kingdom and not to found a church. The two things are quite different and totally divorced from each other!
What is an inescapable truth is that the story of Jesus's life and resurrection is so compelling! How anyone can ignore it whether a believer or not - I do not comprehend. I am sure that it's very arresting nature was intended!

God is our only hope. The planet is dieing. The coral reefs are vanishing and the rainforests are fading away. The air is thick and choking with pollution. Once abundant animals will become extinct. May God save this beautiful planet.

God is now waiting for more people to repent,for me my parents are the one i am most concern of i hope that God would soften their hearts so that they will hear the words of the lord and be saved.Ultimately it's all about whether God wants to save them or not but christians need to do our part and love and preach the gospel to those around us,for the Day is near
yeah, but heaven is far greater than the world and if you are saved, you do not have to fear death. So I pray everyday for him to come back and end this sinful world.
Yes heaven is far greater and yes if saved don't have to fear death and yes the world is sinful but that's also part of the design for us not to judge others but to prepare ourselves (keep oil in our lamps, etc so we can see when He comes). Why is this? Because of what needed to follow? Yes, to some degree I agree but Humanity was designed to have cycles. What's important is not to save our physical bodies as the creator crew of this entire planetery system (1 of many) can make billions of bodies easily. The body is a tool useful to the development of a soul that can only be done with the close hands on instruction and nuturing of someone who has already accomplished it themselves which Jesus represented 2000 years ago.
Yes - repent meant "change" and that change needs to be continuous as there is always more to understand and better control to have over our human mortal physical "horses" that we are learning to ride with the guidlines/command/instruction from Moses, then Jesus and so forth. There is SO much evidence that he was alive.
