Well, Rock in Rio saw some shit. Go Go's, Nina Hagen and some brazilian bands.
As someone said before, not all bands or artists fit to such a mamuth venue as a rock festival with almost 2 million people watching and the biggest stage, sound and lightning ever builded at the time.
Otherwise, Queen, AC/DC, Scorpions, Ozzy, Maiden, Yes, ruled at the same festival, back in 1985.
But, guess what? This festival was the then ressurrection of..........James Taylor.

She doesn't sound flat or off key. Speaking as a musician, I can say without hesitation that she sounds absolutely EXHAUSTED. She sounds like she's doing everything she can do to stay on her feet and keep the show going. My god... the whole band sounds exhausted.
Don't what what other users are comparing this vocal performance to, but Belinda actually sounds GOOD here compared to other live versions. In fact the whole song sounds better than average, except for Paula's "hush my darling" bridge which is bad. But hell, even JANE is typically flat here, and it's HER signature vocal moment, at least on record.
I've always been a Go Go's fan, but wow, is Belinda off key! She hit tooooo many notes off. Not sure what that outfit was either? Bizzare baggy thing.. maybe because she was getting plump at that time.
What was the line up in 85? Clearly Jane and Kathy were not there. The back-up vocals are also pretty bad. Kathy and Jane were AWESOME back up singers for Belinda. Belinda also looks frustrated.
I actually love this performance. One thing though, Paula is a really good/professional bass player and her sound isn't as raw as the rest of the GGs. Would've come together though.
