@peanutsnuts Yep they elbowed their way in very effectively. So did Microsoft but in different ways. What Apple and many of the "web 2.0" period corporations did better is present the image of "friendly" corporation, as if such a thing could exist.

When people think of Microsoft, they think "evil empire", when they think apple they think "cute fruit logos." When under the surface both companies are very similar. Heck Apple might even be more oppressive with its App Store and iTunes.

I just saw the movie recently. I vaguely remember some scenes, but of course I remember HAL 9000. He's got to be up in the top 10 movie antagonists of all time.

While I prefer Windows, this has to be the best computer ad I've ever seen.
