  • So do you just let it sit for a while? you do do anything to them?

  • Thanks for the vid... I have a Q: Do I have to put something like a spray once they are sawed, to them to keep the curly shape?, some people say clothihng spray? what is it? I've never heared taht before... where can I buy that?. Thanks.

  • thanks so much for the info!

  • Ok so I just made my first batch of corker ribbons using the dowels clips and baking techniques but I just feel like my ribbons are too soft and limpy. I like the look and the sound of the bow like they are tough and "firm" My husband insists on baking them spritzed with hair spray (not a good idea in my head, flammable) ...

  • @moniquesalmond

I make korker bows and I am always looking for new ideas on how to do things. I find that soaking my ribbon in a mix of craft glue and water...looks like milk...for about 1min...then get it on the dowel and cook. The darker the ribbon the longer it takes to cook....still shouldn't take more then 30 minutes for a dark color....Hope this helps.

lol3002angel....super cute love the look of this one.

  • For those of you who didn't hear, she said to preheat the oven to 275F and bake for 25 mins.

  • at what temperature the oven is

  • How about if you don't have an oven? Any suggestions?

  • are you threading through the middle?

  • I love your video!! Can't wait to try and make them for my girls. Where do you find the clips for the bows?

  • adorable! but umm is there any other way to heat it without using the oven?!

    thanks!

  • So when you put it in the oven it doesn't burn up? You don't spray any adhesive? Well thank you and its sooo cute!

  • Thanks so much!!

  • where do u get those wooden dow things at ?

  • Thanks for such an informative video! Enjoyed it!!

  • Thanks a lot!!!!

  • Hi, did you thread it twice? like once down through the ribbon and then up again? or is that an unnecessary step?

  • hey thanks so much for that information!!those bows r so expensive im glad i can make my own!!:0)

  • Hi, im from mexico. thank you for uploading you video, i had one per i bought for 5 dlls. thanks a lot

  • Thank you! I just bought Hello Kitty Ribbon and was looking for a unique way to make bows! These are awesome! I always thought it was harder to make these, I thought they had to be sprayed with fabric stiffener or something. Never thought that they simply would bake in the oven and stay like this! So cool! I can't wait to make these! Adding to favs! ;D

  • Hi, this is a beatiull bow, bt can u curl, any kind of ribbon, ?? what type of ribbon is that? I woul love to make those soon

  • it is called grosgrain ribbon but you can use any type i believe

  • @lil3002angel

  • Thanks for posting how to make a corker bow on here... It helps... I am going to try this ;o)

  • woops not boys lol ... bows ... lol hey its 2:03 A.M. Typing while sleepy is not a good thing.

  • LOL ;-)

  • Ty for posting this vid. I'm working on a few boys for my soon to baby girl. I love all your bows !

  • Oh good! Let me know how they turned out!

  • did you tie a knot at the end of the thread? how do you tye it off? i got my ribbons in the oven now :-)

  • Yeah I tied a knot before I started threading them through and then I just sewed the end off like you usually would when you finish sewing. IDK if that makes any sense....

  • yeah that makes sense thank you. I actually just laid the thread out and put the ribbon over it and just tied it all up, it looks cute (well, for it being my first one!!) LOL I hope you do more bow making videos :-)

  • Do you seal each indivdual korker end? Is there a quicker way when working with so many ribbons?

  • Yes you have to seal each end. You can try a lighter if you want to be quicker but you have to be very careful to not burn the ribbon.

  • can you do more HOW TO vids of : how to make flower bows and regular bows and what supplies i need etc.?

  • awesome! I cant wait to try this. Do you need to positiion the ribbons once theyre all on? Or do they kinda just end up like that? Thanksss : )

  • they end up like that but i like to even them out once its all tied

  • THAT IS SO AWESOME!!! thanks for this vid. i will def subscribe!!! =D hope to hear from u soon.

  • Thank you! :)

  • do you have to use a special kind of ribbon? or will any kind that is 3/8 work?

  • I use grosgrain ribbon

  • tyhis is a neat idea! thanks for sharing!

  • You're welcome!

  • That is awesome :) I love them... Grr... I really need to get Leah more bows. I only have store bought little ones. I want some big cute ones! Thanks for showing how to do this, I'm gonna try it as soon as I have some time off school =)

  • I use the store bought little ones too! I think I got them at target. I love target for baby things. haha All the rest I have of hers, I made. They are so expensive to buy, my husband would kill me because I would go crazy! haha

  • Awesome! Thank you so much for this video! I found a video about a month ago on how to make boutique style hairbows and it looked so simple to do! I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but i'm gonna have to make some time soon! I'm also super excited to try to make some korker bows! I've done some regular flower bows for my daughters so now its time to try these! : ) On your one video that you made showing your flower bows, where do you get your flowers from? Thanks again for the awesome video!

  • Thanks for making this hun! I'm so going to make some on Thursday because I'm off. When you were threading the ribbon did you just put the needle through the middle of the ribbon?

  • No problem! Yeah, just thread it through the middle. You can use as much ribbon as you want. I find around 25 pieces to be the perfect amount for how I like them but I used a little more in the video because I wanted to use up the ribbon. If you want, you can also just put them all in a pile and tie all of them together in the middle. Bailey always grabs at her bows so I like to make sure they stay put. lol

  • Awesome vid! I find out the sex of my baby on the 20th (hopefully) and if i'm having a girl I will def be making some of these bows! Thanks! :)

  • i sure will! maybe ill send u an email or something..
