Logitech c910 1080p HD webcam video TEST!

i got this cam jus a few days ago, but I can only video myself in the lower settings 360 and still it doesnt look that great. The softwear stops responding every minute which can be very annoying....not sure if my laptop is the problem or the cam???

I've been messing with mine and I have found that in order to get good frame rate, you must use MJPEG compression from the webcam. This is because USB 2.0 is just not fast enough to dump raw video from this camera at 30fps (and that is with 12 bit colour too! 746Mbps raw vs USB2.0 480Mbps). Even with MJPEG 1920x1080 it was reported as recording at 27-28fps (and sometimes less for unknown reasons).

Using guvcview in Fedora 15 & i7 950 processor.

attention 1080p is not available for webcam! you can only use 1080p when using webcam as camcorder

The frame rate looks a little slow to me, the Microsoft camera has no frame rate issues and looks no different than an HD camcorder image smooth as silk!!!

@theantiredneck Uhm the frame rates really fast: check out the username: CoxDzul videos on sample vids, there seems to be no frame rate issues in his videos... maybe its my slow laptop, because its not the best of laptops.

@JJay13Productionz its shown this camera cannot provide high fps in 1080, but if you record in 720 it records smooth.

@archmercigod dont record through the webcam directly from youtube, use the Logitech Webcam Software to record your video and change the settings to record in 1080p and then once the video is created, upload the video to youtube. The saved recorded video you recorded from the Logitech Webcam Software is saved in your My Videos/Logitech Webcam/ folder
