Almost a month ago, Regina King was on the morning news show with Jillian Barberie-Reynolds, Steven Edwards & Dorothy Lucey, and she said she was on an episode on "Silver Spoons". I'm trying to find it. Does anyone know where it is??
Now that i think of it--I wonder if my 7th grade math teacher who is the husband of my 8th grade science--I wonder if he was inspired by Ricky's dad to act the way he does!! My old math teacher acts JUST like ricky's dad--full of fun, and so like a kid!!! It makes me admire him so much more!
Ricky's dad rocks--seriously!! And my 8th grade sceince teacher reminds me of Erin Grey / Kate!! Gorgeous!! I will always think of Erin Grey when I visit my 8th grade science teacher!
i didnt think amanda was all that when I first saw this when I was 12 just like alot of the other girls that were on this show for the first two years. In fact at the time i found her alittle repellent. I couldnt see what rick and derek saw in her back then. But I loved erin grey.
The best episode is when rick has a sleep over and they put frogs in that kids sleeping bag and he starts crying. i love those serious humiliation moments in 80s sitcoms. Damn it. Like when jack ruined terry's dress at the party in the first terry episode of threes company.
It is interesting to noticed that it was rumored that Ricky Schroder's own mother asked for Jason Bateman's character to be written off and the producers agreed on her wishes. Which ever you believe, we still don't know, but we know that Rick had a problem with Jason stealing Rick's spotlight everytime he made a better joke than him. Which is probably the reason for his exit and his beloved, but short sitcom "It's Your Move", a precursor to Married With Children antics.
@ImGeneParmesan I hear you on that. On Family Matters, Carl was supposed to be the lead character. But Urkel surpassed him immensely in popularity. At least they kept Jaleel White on the show despite that.
This is Jason Bateman's second show. It's interesting to know that Jason Bateman is considered to be one of the youngest actor/director/producer on the sitcom, The Hogan Family. He started directing and producing at the ages of 17-18 with possibly some of the Hogan Family episodes. Scott Baio started directing and producing at age 26-27 with most of the Charles In Charge episodes, with some episodes of Out of This World, a couple of New Lassie episodes, among other episodes on certain shows.
OMG right at 3:17 When Ricky hugs Kathy good by, he comps a feel of her as. LMAO Pricless, I wonder if he had a bet going or if his buddies made him king after that. I'd have grab it too, lol.
yes now that u say that the boy who played derek played james cooper on little house he was the one who they took in with his sister after his parents were killed in a wagon accident. At least i am 90 percent sure that is him.
Oh, yeah sarahstorm4, Jason Bateman did play James Cooper on Little House, he also starred on Arrested Development, The Hogan Family, George & Leo, etc.
The guy who played Derek... wasn't he the same guy who played one of the Ingalls' kids in "Little House on The Prairie"? Not Albert, the younger boy that the Ingalls' took in.
I am sooooooo looking forward to this show coming out next month!! {screams, lol} The 19th! Great to see something else of Ms. Gray's. Thanks for uploading!
I am thinking you are talking about the DVD coming out on June 19th not the show that is going to be on the air. I wish they put this show back on the air some of the sketch in the show are funny.
This laugh track is hysterical. It's like the audience is having the best time they've ever had in their lives.
