priceless the more i hear that song the more i love it as i do with any smiths song. it`s sounds really raw the way it should. perfect . thanks for posting video.
I've loved the Smiths for nearly 3 whole decades (eek) and there is not a song I don;t care for...but rate this as highly as anything just now....it's bawdy, riotous, heady, lusty and funny. this version is one of the worst i've ever sen (the wheels just about stay on!) but you've got to love it! Long live The Smiths !
This is the best music of the 80´s from the best band ever. Their album hatful of hollow contains the most unique music made in the 80´s. And I am very sure about what I say .

WHAT A BORING AUDIENCE. Didn't they realize that they had GODS infront of them???
MandaOwl 1 year ago 6
@MandaOwl they were probably expecting shite like new order so were taken aback when a band of quality appeared.

I bloody love him as much as I could love anyone that I have never met.
Great early footage but do you think the crowd realise that they are watching the greatest band since The Beatles and ever since?
Oasis? Stone Roses?...pfft

"I'm spellbound/but a woman divides/and the hills are alive with celibate cries" - one of the funniest lyrics EVER. Tell THAT one to Julie Andrews!

Maybe the protagonist in this song is gay ?
pl4sm4 2 years ago
The lyrics are blatantly homosexual but who cares, what a fucking tune. If anything it gives it more meaning.
