@fatezztruth I bought the main retrofit kit from a member on the e46fanatics web forum and various parts on eBay. I have the complete DIY write up on the internet. Just GOOGLE for "DIY: OEM Navigation Retrofit w/ 16:9 CD Monitor BM53 MK4 Bluetooth Sirius Aux & iPod" and it will come up. Lots of information on pricing and buying parts.
@fatezztruth Did it myself. AGAIN I have the complete DIY write up on all the BMW forums on the internet. Just GOOGLE for "DIY: OEM Navigation Retrofit w/ 16:9 CD Monitor BM53 MK4 Bluetooth Sirius Aux & iPod" and it will come up. Lots of information on how I did it at e46fanatics, bimmerfest, bimmerforums, bimmerwerkz, unitedbimmer, e46zone even some of my YouTube videos show how I did it. Please use GOOGLE SEARCH. Thanks.
Did you use the original BMW microphone? Or did you install the Parrot microfone behind the BMW microphone cover?
What parts do I need if i want to install the bluetooth function in my 330i as well? Only the CK3000 and the MULTICOM (for controlling it via the steering wheel)?
Do I have to program anything on the navigation system to let the telephone input appear on the screen? Or do I just have to connect all the parts I bought and it will appear automatically?
@fifficus I used the mic that came with the parrot kit and installed it behind the OEM mic cover (go to bimmerfest or the e46fanatics website to find my Pictorial DIY in the DIY section showing what I did - my forum name is Delmarco there).
You will need the Parrot ck3000 and the ctppar007 kit for the BMW E46 cars 1999 - 2006.
Everything is plug and play with the car's navigation. No coding or programming is required. That is the beauty of this DIY project. It is cheap, simple and works!
@fifficus No on BMW E46 vehicles from 2002 - 2006 the car's am/fm or cd radio does not have to be turned on for the Bluetooth to work. The Bluetooth Module is independant to the the Becker BM53 radio or Alpine CD53 and turns on with the car being on. If your car is a 1998 - 2001 E46 on the older pre-2002 Blaupunkt CD53 radios and I am guessing the older Becker 4:3 Navigation Monitor radios the radio has to be on for the the Bluetooth to be on. The E46fanatics website has more info.
where did you buy the navi? and how much did it cost?
