Honestly, a V6 Altima would smoke this thing silly, so one must ask why, exactly VW made it. If it weighed 400 less pounds and was a little cheaper, it would have been truly great.
why they made this? because they CAN. had'nt they built this, there wouldnt be a bugatti veyron now. altima would smoke it mayb, but vw doesnt claim to build race/drag cars. they have audi lambo bugatti and other brands fot that.
and by the way. It IS TRULY GREAT. yopu just think diff cuz u cant afford it:)
@Goazbox Well, being as they're gigantic money pits, depreciation has hit the W8 passat rather hard, meaning I could quite easily afford one. However, as I am sane and reasonably intelligent, I would never buy one.

425bhp SRT8 will only get a challenger so far when it's shaped like a brick and has gearing ratios that favor fast 1/4 mile times vs top speed and fuel economy.
love how they will max out all day long. not like the jap trash that blow wen held at full speed for any length of time, trying to talk the wife into a w8 lol
I don't know if there's enough room for a superchager to be added under the hood, but maybe a hybrid electric motor in the trunk for extra power and improved 50/50 weight distribution and a 200 MPH+ top speed.
Damn good is your car just delimited or do you have it chipped? Your car's only like 1 notch below a BMW M6. Hell, if you get a Supercharger, Best Chiptuning, Cold Air Intake, Performance Exhaust, etc you could do 200+ MPH/ 322 km/h+ and shock some M6 drivers.

Passat W8 is has a FASTER Drag Limited Top Speed than Challenger SRT8
Passat W8 Drag Limited 174mph, Challenger SRT8 170mph.

The Passat W8 does come in manual its just very hard to find, or you can just send it to VW and get them to do an manual conversion on it.

@klramon in der motoren klasse wird das auch ein mb können aber die muss man aufmachen.ich meine das ein e420 oder e430 bei 250km/h dicht macht
