  • I love this arrangement of Breaking Up! Slower tempo is awesome.

  • and this was 25 yrs after the fact and the man still sounds incredible

  • I have seen Neil in Vegas and he hasn't lost a beat. Who else could have a big hit with Breaking Up and turn around, slow it down and have another big hit, Neil that who.

  • Priceless.. no other words can describe this...

  • micheal buble is sort of a lower tone copycat of him. not hating on micheal buble but if neil's voice was lower he'd basically be him.

  • Sedaka was singing long before Buble was even born so it seems to me that Sedaka has more of an influence on Buble than Buble on Sedaka.

  • that exactly what i meant. did you not pick that up? although i said it in a harsher way calling him (buble) a copycat.

  • Oh I'm sorry for misreading you comments. I read you comment so quickly that I didn't see the word "copycat" inbetween then words "tone" and "of"

    I apologize. My mistake.

  • I absolutely love this guy's music!!! I love this rendition of both songs!!! Thanks Mr. Sedaka for your great music over the years =)

  • Darn good singer. RWB

  • Wow, that is some amazing talent. An all around great performer.

  • what a man! xxx

  • I always enjoyed the slower version of "breakin' up"--super talent

  • dude

  • Such a brilliant talent. Cheers, Neil!

  • What a great talent, Neil Sedaka!

And funny to see him dancing and jigging on the stage. Wonderful guy!

  • check out new calendar girl song on my page!

  • ★★★★★ 5 STARS VIDEO ! ★★★★★

Neil Sedaka should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. This man is a GIANT in the industry and this is long overdue. His songs are timeless classics that he has written and sang himself and they have also been performed by some of the greatest artists of our time!!! Neil Sedaka is without a doubt one of the pioneers of Rock & Roll!!

Search on YouTube by 'SEDAKA PETITION' and you'll find the link.

  • Yes, very underrated, along with others like Bob Gaudio and Paul Anka.

  • @SuperBird2009

You said it all my friend!!!!!!

  • @SuperBird2009 I signed the Petition and glad to do so. It is sad a lot of GREATS are overlooked when they are the fathers of rock n roll. Niel is too awesome for words both then and NOW

  • Jann Wenner can only be embarrassed that NEIL SEDAKA and most of the Brill Building participants are not in the Hall of Fame while Madonna and Leonard Cohen already have been inducted... Of course, no one knows where Rolling Stone is, its address or if its building has any history. But Sedaka and co always have 1619 Broadway, sitting there in all its splendor between 49th and 50th Streets, a living landmark. It will be there long after the whole debacle of the Hall of Fame is a distant memory.

  • Neil was GITTIN IT at the end of Calendar Girl! LOL! You go boy! I love that little cross step hop thing he does. :D

  • "Amazing" is right. I had my first heartbreak when this came out in 75 and must've played it 100 times in a row. Yikes.

  • Breaking Up is Hard to Do surely is one of the greatest pop melodies ever written. A perfect song filled with so many profound notes and themes that it is a master class in composition, sung by a master.

  • still the best!!!

  • I love Neil Sedaka!

  • this is one amazing talented person.

  • The slow version of "Breaking Up" is just amazing. It's a wonderful song both slow and fast, but the slow version kills me every time.

  • great.

  • I like more this time (without dow do do down

  • my dad was really into this song when i was a kid. thank god good taste isn't a requirement for procreations.

  • I love the different rendition of Calendar Girl.
