@daybreak1HP This is not a page to talk about honda engines. When are kids going to understand you have to put way too much money into rice to get it to go this fast. Isnt worth it. You could buy a house with what it would cost. Or just buy a real car? Honda makes good gas mileage dependable cars but they are for getting groceries or going from point A to B. I started with american muscle, built a honda, lost my ass and it was boring, now im back to muscle. 68 camaro and im not going back.
that is one serious machine. especially considering it has a sequential transmission. those usually run a minimum of 10k and can go over 25k. this is just for the transmission alone!
love the air cleaner i have the same one in my 76 chevy long bed on a 350 performance heads lifters ect i got scared id start pealing off body pannels after 150 haha love the vid
@BigJW405 dont hate to tell me that, i love hearin that thats crazy as shit! i wish i could do that to my civic but keep it street legal some how haha.
R07 will not fit on a stock SBC block , the bore spacing is wider. SB2 heads will fit a stock block , but you need offset roller lifters . Ported SB2 heads will flow over 400 cfm.
a small block has 4.40 bore spacing ... that is the same as a 283, 327, 350 and 400 cid motors. the max bore size is 4.200 ". you can get upto 454 cid with a small block. This 427 is a stroked 400 , 4" stroke x 4.125 bore
A big block has 4.84 borespacing . This allows for bores up to 4.650" and displacements over 600 CID
nascar switched to R07 heads 2 years ago , but they ran SB2 heads for 10 years before that. Splayed valve heads are the buick symetrical port heads , still used by drag racers but flow a little less than SB2 heads.
they must be better , since the cup teams prefer them :-) The new motors use a different bore spacing so none of the R07 parts fit on a standard sbc block.
SB2 heads will fit on a standard chevrolet small block if you use offset roller lifters. But the heads really need at least a 4.125 bore for the 2.180 valves.

The gear ratios sound ridiculous. You were going like 80 mph before 2nd gear. Thats the reason why you can go so fast.

I'm considering an upgrade . I currently run AFR 235's on a boosted 406 SBC. Are the Ro7's better than CFE SBX's?

@kidddogbites you sir, are incorrect. though it can be a big block, it can also be a small block.
Kawasakiforlife7 1 year ago
@Kawasakiforlife7 dude that was half a year ago i know alot more about cars not and i know that you can get a 427 in ither a big or small block
kidddogbites 1 year ago
@kidddogbites the term "big block" actually refers to the distance from the centre line of the crankshaft to the deck, where the heads join the block

WOW 199mph.. that was still really pulling after 170mph.. how much HP does that thing have?

Holy crap...... What is done as far as aero goes???
...it looks..... a lil frightening to do 200mph in a 67' Camaro.... maybe thats just me.

nothing has been done for aero ... check out the picture in hotrod magazine , Aug 2009 , taken at maxton during this run .

wow, sb2 heads? arn't those the highest flowing chevy heads?
sk8forlife90 2 years ago
they are the highest flowing heads I have ever had on my flow bench... well over 400 cfm @ 28"
rbrooks27562 2 years ago
arn't they what nascar racers use? also, what about splayed valve heads? you ever seen performance from these or heard of them?
sk8forlife90 2 years ago
nascar switched to R07 heads 2 years ago , but they ran SB2 heads for 10 years before that. Splayed valve heads are the buick symetrical port heads , still used by drag racers but flow a little less than SB2 heads.
rbrooks27562 2 years ago
oh, are the R07 heads better than flowing than the SB2's? and if so, a lot or just a little performance?
sk8forlife90 2 years ago
they must be better , since the cup teams prefer them :-) The new motors use a different bore spacing so none of the R07 parts fit on a standard sbc block.
rbrooks27562 2 years ago
also, is the 427 the only block the SB2 heads can fit on?
sk8forlife90 2 years ago
SB2 heads will fit on a standard chevrolet small block if you use offset roller lifters. But the heads really need at least a 4.125 bore for the 2.180 valves.
rbrooks27562 2 years ago
id beilive it but the track doesnt look smooth at all
IRAMURDOG 2 years ago
427 small block, is it the aluminum block C6 vette motor?
ariel4more 2 years ago
the motor uses the corvette bore and stroke, but has a Dart Iron Eagle racing block , Nascar SB2 heads , custom crankshaft and a 1050 dominator carb.
