Saw this Stain Boy episode this at the Tim Burton exhibit at LACMA a few weeks ago. One of the saddest beloved characters I've seen in a while. Love Tim Burton.
@BecomeMyNewCat oh okay thanks, I can see some resemblance , thats the hideous penguin boy- if u didn't know :) he is in tim's 'batman returns' however i know him from tim's book, "the melancholy death of oyster boy and other stories.." hope i helped XD
@FredrickOfFletStreet@TheFlexibleBullet I plan to go to DIsney in the future, and maybe take over for the role of Tim Burton's wacky darkness. I plan to help make a movie based on all weird kid characters from the book of Oyster Boy and released by Touchstone Pictures. So, I guess Stainboy will be a movie, if I make it.
@unrooolie jack whoo?? those children are characters that he has drawn over the years....hideous penguin boy (featured in batman returns), the boy with nails in his eyes, a girl who has many eyes and Brie Boy (hope I helped!) ;)
We are doing a stop motion animation film called Tim. The movie is a stop motion animation film that is dedicated to Tim Burton and has Sir Christopher Lee as the narrator. Search the directors name Brian Joseph Ochab to find the video.
@PinkPunkyKat Nope not at all. If you lived in Southern California (burbank/LA/OC etc) you'd find the series a little funnier. Stainboy, and a lot of his other works, especially Edward Scissorhands, are sort of fairy tale parodies which reflect the kind of "if it's not picture perfect, it's weird and we don't want a part of it" mentality that is unfortunately present in society. There are other little quips and jokes too that poke fun at SoCal, but I'm not gonna explain them all.
@MyInstantRegret yes, I did. and there is a lot more cool stuff:
- the hand of the joker (as said by mkkumbia)
- the woman in the charity home has 6 fingers
and from other episodes: the photos on his wall with his victims, the black book at 1:02 is from sgt. dale, the other kids from the charity home are from "the melancholy death of oyster boy & other stories" - and so on :-D
i love how the burbank charity home's next to the maternity hospital. and who is the cracker kid next to brea boy. ps I WANT MORE STAINBOY!!! i hope you guys make more vids....pleeeeeeeease!
Never gonna happen. It's too good and too weird for mass audience. At least Frankenweenie is a kid-friendly story, but who the hell would watch Stainboy?
I would too, but just because I like weird stuff. I suppose you too. But general audience doesn't.
Also, majority of people to this day still believes that animation is only children thing, so when an animated movie like this comes out, nobody goes to see it, because kids are not allowed and adults are too "grow up" to watch it.
Anyway, let's leave Stainboy the way it is. Although, with Burton nowadays you can expect everything he ever did or ever liked to be remade, so who knows.
@jktomas I'd watch the movie! . . . I'm 12 though so..maybe your right. Though,I do tend to talk to adults ALL the time! Maybe I could convince them to watch it if this was a movie. *facepalm* Maybe not.
@ 3:35 oh look it's that nail boy

Was Burton abused as a child? His work is just so gloomy and depressing and it just makes me wonder if he was abused as a child.
