In an interview, Frusciante talked about how his work would be featured in the film, it wasn't in it.

I think the film was fantastic the way it was, but it could have driving scenes like this with his music playing and Dying Song as the ending scene.

I mean like this song fits perfectly with the swirving headlights and tail lights witht he sound of the reverse effects of the guitar.

Thats what paints a picture I suppose.
