I used to have two of them. One didn't work, the other worked for a week, then started failing. Never got around to even attempt to fix them and ended up selling them dirtcheap.
Note: If the ad says anything similar to "powers up, produces no sound, buttons don't react", then FORGET ABOUT IT! It's just not worth it.
@VectronMusic I have no idea. When I bought mine, I got it for $300 and then traded it to a friend for an EMX-1. I haven't seen one of these on eBay since I bought mine, so I don't know what a current fair value is for one.
@Deepwatermusic Be sure to check the battery first. Those things suffer the same problems the Polysix's had where they leak and spew acid on everything it can find. It would spew acid on an infant's face if it could find a way to escape the inside of the keyboard!
My Dad had one of these - the internal battery corroded and leaked all over the main CPU board thus destroying the synth. :-( A warning to any other DK600 owners! It's apparently quite common...
@staropavlova45 When I got mine, the battery had just started to leak. Thankfully only one of the traces had gotten hit and that was cleaned up with some alcohol, so no real harm was done. In fact, I've been operating without a battery altogether because I <3 synths with no patch memory.

Do you think $650 including shipping is a fair price for one?

I just picked up a non-working DK-600. I plan on resurrecting this thing soon...

Im quite a synth anorak, and I hadn't even heard of this until I saw this vid.
Sounds quite an overlooked instrument.
