I hate opera! there was was so much hype when it first came out on the iPhone, then the iPad came out then the iPhone 4 and yet still no up-dates to make the new display's look great and fix the annoying problem that there is no fluid pinch to zoom video streaming and when your not zoomed in you cant read any of the text! sort it out speed is nearly everything but not in this case. Bring chrome to Apple with it the best browser in the world!!!

If you want to add a search engine you probably have to touch and hold down on the text box of the search engine you want to add and tap something like Add as New Search engine. This will probably work but I do not have a "i" device to test it on.

I've never seen the appeal of Mobile Safari. So it looks more 'elegant'...whatever that means. Opera's been in the browser business forever, and it shows. Isn't the entire point of a browser to load your pages as fast as possible? Opera's my browser of choice on the iPhone.

opera mini is sometimes unresponsive and does not take advantage of multitouch. Not noticeably faster on wifi and the only pro is that it can save webpages for view without access and it saves a few pages so going "back" is instant. Nothing huge and it wont save your webpages you had open so you will always go to home screen

John can you do a review for the Atomic Web Browser for iPad. It is 10 times better than safari and can load multiple tables at the same time including playing video and loading other tabs + switching without loosing stream. I think they deserve exposure with the excellent work they did.

opera doesnt do pinch to zoom nor double tap to zoom in. You tap once to zoom in and tap twice or hit the back button to zoom out. It may seem like you can pinch to zoom but ... you cant

Opera is fast but needs an update. Alot of issues i have seen with it. Plus it is single tap to zoom and pinch to zoom works. But it only has two zoom setting. Either in or out. Where as safari when you pinch to zoom as soon as you let go it stops. So there is almost unlimited settings.

We can all agree that IE is at its last moments. Opera,Chrome,FF and Safari are all great browsers and each has its own individual features but Opera really doesnt compare in speed to Chrome,FF nor Safari. Opera is like the jitterbug phone...for old people and kids. FF is unstable and crashes too much. True Chrome takes up more space but its stable. To speed up FF there is this hole process but on Chrome you just add a prefetch:1 to exe status and wam...its done.

I still prefer Mobile Safari over Opera mini right now. The only things I like about Opera is speed and speed dial. But since it focuses on speed, the web pages zoomed out look horrid compared to mobile safari with small text looking like lines. I have to keep zooming in and out and in just to go through it.

You didn't really do your homework on this review did you Jon? It doesn't have pinch to zoom and you only need to tap the screen once in order to zoom in on a particular area. The reason why it's so fast is because the info is first loaded on operas servers then pushed directly to your phone, which means you shouldn't do any banking via opera. Yet. It's fast, yes. But it's not a reliable browser.

there is a problem i found out with this, if you look at a full web page (were it is fully zoomed out) and try to zoom out, it will zoom in.
