i think 99% of the world would agree kayne is a hip/rap artist, and that album was marketed as such. The real cliche is that break out artists like kayne end up making garbage, either out of ego, or opportunity within the market.(hence autotune).

dre is still in my top 10, but i can't put him over premier, rza, dilla, pete rock, timbaland (before he fell off), and hi-tek (one of dre's ghostproducers).

No doubt mass appeal is a classic track but it's not Premo's best. I prefer Take It Personal. But pretty much anything RZA did in the first 5 years of Wu-Tang can't be matched.
