Problem with game is that combat it still abstract and not realistic. Shields and blocks are like impenetrable barriers if you execute the right command. Blocking a thrust with a spear should be impossible or nearly impossible but it is possible. Slashing it away should be possible ut its not possible.

@omfg4000 Thats what you do whenever you block against a thrust. You parry it away. There is no good animation for it but if you look closely you bounce it off with you're sword. Metal + Metal = Still two metal. The engine cannot handle breaking blades. Not to mention its a video game first and a simulation second. And breaking blades would be a huge problem with gameplay.

Its the most realistic medieval fighting game out there. So why complain...

2 shields because 1 always guards back so arrows dont hit you in the back cause if your really good all u really need is 2 weaps

except if you play as a horse archer (primary weapon, bow and 2 bags of arrows) no shields :) btw, my first character was a 2 handed swordsman and i always played with a shield on my back, until level 30 that shield saved me from 4 arrows (you are rarely shot in the back, only by horse archers when they follow you, but you usually turn around and try to hit them so you wont give them your back)

The graphics are amazing, be honest.. You didn't play with maximum graphics, right? Also, they said that in the final version of the game the textures would be different. More realistic, muscles etc.

I believe there is no max level. The game is open-ended, and the only end is if you retire from adventuring when you set up camp. If you click Retire From Adventuring, you can see how you did. Then, once you click the next button to confirm you want to stop, you'll end your game, but can reload from your last save on that profile.
