NOOB TUTORIAL ..worthless if you dotn know how to basic texture then gtfo the software .. to make a serious planet you need to use more advanced texturing techniques to get a atmospheric glow etc.

3D Studio Max is a professional grade 3d modelling program. Its made by autocad. Its a few hundered bucks; and its pretty much the photoshop of the 3d world.

you can download the trial from the autodesk site, and then search for a keygen. it worked for me...
