My pastor always tells me that fasting is important. Is like de-attaching yourself from something as simple as food, is a start from de-attaching yourself from traditions, sins, customs...so fasting is necessary for every christian.
I don't like the idea of fasting from food but I don't really watch secular tv or listen to secular music...and I try to devote the majority of my time to reading and praying...it annoys me when I have to go to the gym or study! I hate it because it takes away from what I really want to do

@Chrismarr2 I do also want to add though, that we are to cast out demons as the bible says, but that it can be very dangerous to do that if we are not living right with God and others (Acts 19:13-16). Taking on demonic forces means entering into a spiritual battle, and war is dirty. It can have consequences in every area of your life. We need to make ourselves right with God before taking on demonic forces.

Wow, my fiancée drew a picture of Jesus that she saw in her dream and he had on a robe and belt just like that. She was an unbeliever and in the dream Jesus kept repeating the question "Do you believe in me?". She kept denying him but was in much agony until finally she said "I believe!". She said that the pain stopped and everything became peaceful and then she woke up.
