  • After reading all the anti-ethanol posts about this video, I came to one conclusion...the anti-ethanol people don't have a fricken clue to what they are talking about. Why do I say that, because they are repeating word for word to what the Pacific Petroleum Institute has instructed the political pundits to preach to the media.

  • I think i became dummer by watching this?

  • too bad it takes 3 gallons of gas to produce 2 gallons of ethenol.

  • this was very interesting! :)

  • bad idea for fuel... ethenol (which retains water and desolves fuel lines and plastic)...

99.9 % of the service work at our motorcycle shop is carb and fuel system cleanings..

not to mention all the boat engine/carbs fi's that stuff is tearing up....

  • sorry guys, ethanol from corn is an incredibly bad idea for two reasons: (1) depending on where you draw your energy balance boundary, it takes more energy to produce ethanol from corn than there is energy in the ethanol. (2) Converting food to fuel is just dumb. Ethanol from cellulosic materials, e.g. wood waste, biomass is a MUCH better idea. I do appreciate your interest in alternative energy. It's difficult to get good info on this topic since everyone is trying to be the next big thing

  • Good job guys! That is a great video with a very informative message.

  • Another thought I have...in a world where food is in short supply is it ethical for us to use corn to feed animals and our cars--not the people of the world?

  • Just gotta stir the pot dont ya Mrs. Ezzell. I see your point, however the U.S. has a surplus of corn every year that we give to third world countries, free. This is the right move, but in turn we are actually destroying the countries economy. The corn farmers of that country suffer greatly because of our free donation, and then the rest goes down like a row of dominoes.

  • I think these two fine gentlemen raise a fine point.

  • Thanks for posting these comments, and you in turn raise a fine point.
