haha...i beast the trumpet part on that. this is one of our stand tunes for my high school marching band, and i can hit that first part pitch-perfect (and i'm a sophomore). it sounds like at least the trumpet and low brass parts are the same orchestration as ours

b4 our band teacher left after 8th grade i was 1st chair trumpet in both 7th and 8th grade. the crazy thing is that our 7th grade conductor only gave us 4 weeks to learn the star spangled banner for the high school graduation. we were awesome

i know all we do is sync with the saxiphones and it sucks because my ban teacher is a dumb ass eho put me with the brass section so im lost all the time with the concert stuff its what makes it worse im the only french horn player in the whole school but i like the instrument its fun and dirrerent...

Stick with it and you'll both see that the horn gets pretty much all the good parts. Playing the horn in high school is hard because you always get stuck with march-like stuff or your part is doubled by the saxes. The better pieces usually give the horn all the good solos too!
