  • Rest in Peace Gary Grimes (Paul) died Monday Dec. 13th, 2010.

  • I first saw them in St. Louis in 1990 - and have seen them 4 more times. They even recognize me when I talk to them after the concert. They are the best!

  • I've seen these guys many, many times and never get tired of them. What a great bunch of guys....thanks for posting this

  • Paul today plays left handed, he must have learned over the past 25 years, now there authentic!!!

  • they are the best by far... I have seen them at least 10 times and there still awesome

  • RSMRecoringInc search it I have some good one's up on that too.

thank you all for your great comments and

    Take care

    Rock ON!!!!

    Steve

  • @SteveMjazz i'm seeing the guys this Friday in my town of Tulsa

  • Great job Steve. Thanks for the video. Great comparison montage. I've seen them 4 times since 1989. What amazes me is not only how great they are, but their stamina and longevity. Almost 3000 performances since 1984...approx. 140 concerts a year. I highly suggest to everyone on this page to go see them perform. They truly are the greatest Beatles tribute band in the world. They are legends and you'll have a hell of a great time!!! Don't miss them before they hangup their Beatle boots.

  • I'm 22 years old and have been a Beatles fan my whole life, and I have to say that never being able to see the real Beatles live is something I don't like about growing up in this era (although the screaming fans would suck) but I saw 1964 a few years ago...with nobody screaming. So I got to see "The Beatles" and they were awesome.

  • around the time of 1:46 to !:50 gary looks a lot like paul!

  • I got them to sign the program.

  • thats them early they had gary flip the hofner over so he's really right-handed. also I meet them

  • haha yea at the benedum...i looooooooved when they did eleanor rigby...i seriously got chills

  • I was at the Benedum also! The show was amazing. To me, sounded just like the Beatles.

  • "Pittsburg" PA is actually "Pittsburgh" with the "H" at the end. (I know it's a stupid complaint but people can never spell our damn city right!)

  • i just saw them and they were AMAZING...the show flew by

  • Where did you see them? I was at the show at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh PA on March 7. Best damn thing I've seen ever. I was amazed that they played Paperback Writer and Rain back to back and Rain included the backwards ending. Just awesome. I can't wait to see them again.

  • Ive seen them i think 3 times now... they never stop amazing... cant wait till next year when they play here again

  • Have seen these lads before and they are great! As for the best in the World, The Fab Four have them beat by Ringo's nose!! You just can't stop at 1966. The Beatles had great stuff till the end, that these guys don't play. I still like them, but don't agree they are the best in the world!!

  • I saw them At The Birchmere In Alexandria. There Just Awsome

  • i Know Jimmy Pou

  • Umm the John is not even married. And I can assure you, none of the people who actually are close with the band, besides myself, post anything on here.

  • THE CARVEN BEAT IS THE BEST

  • I have yet to see a band do John Lennon justice in terms of the voice...

  • Neil Innes, the 7th Monty Python, been doing a great John Lennon for 30 years. Check him out. You know, the Rutles?

  • Yeah, but I'm talking about a Beatles tribute band, not the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band.

  • try "made in Liverpool"

  • Hear. Hear. Actually there was 1 which was pretty close but looked nothing like him.

I've noticed you either look like the Beatles, or sound like them. Not both although 1964 is probably the closest you can get.

  • There's a reason they are booked all year - they are simply THE BEST Beatles tribute on the planet. Hands down the best.

  • I just saw these guys tonight at the Festival at the Park in Roanoke, VA. It's my 4th time seeing them live, and they put on the best show to date. Those harmonies are down to a tee!

  • I've seen these guys like...four times. I love them so much

  • I saw them in Canton, Ohio when I was probably 15 at the time....and I was already a huge fan of The Beatles...but seeing them I actually felt like I was back in the 1960's at the real thing! These guys truely are amazing! Gary (Paul) actually taught himself to play left-handed! I really hope to see them again in the future!

  • I saw them in portland,OR

  • i hope they can get here in the philippines, so i can watch them... my father too

  • pretty good! rains better tho

  • what is the song title thats played at the very beginning...a beatle buff and yet ive never heard of it

  • it's called "bad boy" it was never released on an actual beatles album, but it's pretty well known. if you ever find a beatles rarity album, it should have it

  • I have it on Beatles 65, which was an American release album.

  • from what i know, beatles 65 isn't an actual beatles made album.but dont ask me.i dont know their albums so well.i only know songs and trivia

  • There is indeed an album called Beatles '65, I own it on LP. It's the American release corresponding with the British release, Beatles for Sale. Its also been recently released on CD in the first Capitol Albums collection.

  • i was also aware of the album "beatles for sale" i just guess i wasn't aware that it was actually released on one of their albums...

  • Looks like Paul (aka Gary) took a hint from Ardy of The Fab Four and learned how to play left handed. Have 1964 ever played the "studio" albums (i.e., Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, White Album, Abbey Road, Let It Be Be, etc.) in their act? From the videos, it appears they do don't go beyond Rubber Soul.

  • Actually this band has been around long before the The Fab Four were a band. Paul (aka Gary) learned how to play left handed in 1985 right after the 1984 video that begins my film. Yes they did do just studio recordings from Rubber Soul to Abbey Road in the early 90's and played their show like it was the beatles ruin tour. But I've never seen or heard any recordings from this time period.

    ttyl everyone bye

  • current members are Mark Benson, Gary Grimes, Tom Work and Terry Manfredi better than Jimmy and Greg.. sorry guys you are incredible as well but the vocals are a bit tighter

  • i think fab four mania's act is better

  • GREAT act. I have been a pro musician for 35 years now and I just love seeing these lads play. They do a great job....and have lasted a long time. Thanks 1964!

You put many smiles on many faces. And THAT's whats missing in today's world.

  • Yes they are a Great band,It's to bad they have to Tune Down to sing,

  • Hey chief the fab four did it too.you would know that if you ever tried to play their stuff with the recordings

  • They had to tune down to preserve their voices. With the number of shows they do each year (many more than any other beatles tribute band) they would never make it without tuning down. National Public Radio had a hsow a few years ago and stated that many of the other tribute bands study 1964. They are the undisputed masters of the early beatles. Rolling Stone and even George Harrison's sister agreed.

  • They sound good...But look nowhere near as good as fabforever..And fabforever sound just as good...You should see both and judge for yourself..

  • I've seen 1964 at the Brady in Tulsa twice and it's a real thrill to hear some old Beatle tunes live. The crowd goes crazy. You realy have to be there, the video just doesn't capture the excitement of the live show.

  • booleg beatles are well better than this joke

  • with u on tht 1

americans cant sound like fukin scousers!

  • I've seen this band many MANY times! Greg(Ringo), Gary(Paul), Mark(John) and Jimmy(George) are REMARKABLE!!!

  • whats the beatles song in the beginning of the movie

  • "Bad Boy" which was a cover the Beatles did of an older song

  • WOW! Great video SteveMjazz. I LOVE 1964

  • The moves rather than the sound!

  • This is a rely to 57chevy150ky...my videos from 1964 are not Affliated with 1964 the tribute's new DVD. I just want to show people their great show and my video editing. I will be posting full songs in about a week or so, but just ones that arent really played by Beatles tribute bands like Act Natural, Money....etc.

  • Great! Great! Great! Hope the DVD is out soon! Have seen them 3 times and hope to see them more!
