Thank you soo much for the tutorial! I have a quick question for you when i click on the alt click mask icon my box in the layer appears white and I can not figure out how to make it black. Can you help me please?
I just ran across your channel a few days ago. I want to thank you for all of your very detailed tutorials! Where did you learn Photoshop? I can't find a place that teaches it like you do. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
@mrslink2 Most of what I've learned has been tireless experimentation and being project oriented. Learning on an "as need to know" basis according to the project at hand. Also sharing or teaching what I know (I've been teaching Digital Imaging since 1999) helps reinforce newly learned or discovered things.
u are so patient and i love how u take ur time and explain everything step by step im gonna try and fix ma hair in a photo shoot i just did...thanx again :)
check again I'm sure it's a "user" error. Maybe wrong blending mode, hidden selection, wrong layer selected, etc...check yourself again! I have CS4 and it works fine!
Is it possible you said it slower or more clearly.. I Cant manaage to Have a Black layer or box or the duplicate layer hair to disappear like yours so that I can slowly turn it back..
You have to add a Layer Mask to the hairpatch layer. Highlight the layer and click the gray icon with white circle in it at bottom of Layers palette. This adds a white mask linked 2nd thumbnail on the layer. Click on the mask and press Ctrl I to invert it to black and the patch disappears. Paint with white on the mask and it reappears where you paint w/Whits.
Be sure you are active on the Mask thumb not the pixel layer thumb.
wow! that was great. going to take my very first Gimp class until i can get Photoshop. not sure how similar the 2 programs are but your video addresses some of what i want to learn for a project i have in mind already. thanks!
do you have cs5 extended could really use your help, and is that you in the picture
