Amazing! I just found this and I love it! I've never heard Christy's version but you know I don't care. This version just does it for me. Amazing and beautiful piano intro. I may plan on doing an acoustic cover of this song one day, if I can find someone to play piano and what not for me.

I got to see them on the front row (divine intervention) cuz U2 bought the first 3 rows so he would have the real people not suits. I was in the nose bleed section in Legion Field. A man walked up with badges galore, & asked to trade seats. I thought he was trying to rip me off, but he was persistent and point me to the floor. A man escorted all the way to the front. Christy Moore, Bono and the Edge collaborated on writing the song "North and South of the River". In 1995, Christy Moore recorded the song, and Bono and the Edge recorded backing vocals for the song. This was released as a standalone single with an orange "water" pattern on the front cover of the CD. The CD and cassette versions of the single were released on Sony Records.
