When Sally left, a huge part of H&A left with her. Home and Away without ANY of the Fletcher/Ross characters - a massive era came to an end. The show was based on that family originally and they remained forefront throughout - whilst the fostered kids were at home, they were also away from home. That was the original premise. The producers have struggled to keep that more emotional character driven aspect alive in favor of cops and robbers or teenage lust and sex.

this show has been going on in norway since i was a kid, and now and then i stopped watching the show, because it got boring or something BUT Sally was an realy important role in Home and Away..... its so sad she isnt in the show anymore, also if alf one time will leave or die in the show, then i dont think home and away will be the same again.......

I been watching this show, for few's year, ever since all the people i know just seem to leave sadly, but sally is the main person i stay on home and away, but now it seem like a different story line to watch, Just wishing they never leaves the show, they were awesome

sally was the best caritour on home and away i can all ready see her coming back on the show in 2009 but what really disscuded me was that year after year something bad allwase happend to her its just now something good happens to her gesepth for finding some one to cary her baby and getting married tree times and having lots of friends that love her and talk about her alot evean when she not in the show

I used to watch this show years ago, but i stopped watching shortly after 2003. I was eager to see how Sally would leave, and i must say it was beautifully done. I cried when Alf and Sally were talking on the beach. She called him Alf :( I was in hysterics, so beautiful and sad. One of the best scenes in the show. Poor Alf i'll be in even worse shape when Alf leaves the show :(
