After watching Tom perform this "Woody Guthrie" tune with Bruce on the 2009 RNR HOF, I had to readjust my top 10 guitarist's list. Talkin about a moment in rock history.That was a jam that clicked. Everybody played and sung their asses off. If you have not seen it, just find it on Youtube. Move over Page, Hendrix, The Edge, and Wolfgang, there is a new kid in town. A very talented and innovative guitarist such as Tom Morello deserves a spot in my top 10 list.

It was so mesmerizing and beautiful that I cried. I looked Tom up, read about him and listened to his Nightwatchman albums. Now I will see him in London on 9 November. Am a big fan now ! I've seen Tom do this live with the same band and it was unbelievable. As a HUGE Springsteen fan this version really puts the song in proper context. Check out the version of Tom playing guitar and singing this song with Springsteen - a little too much accordian for my taste but the recording of Tom's solo is great quality.
