This is why setting a significant number of generic alerts wouldve overwhelmed the inbox quickly. Also note that this was made 4 years ago. Also note that NY accents > Canadian. Also when calling someone an idiot it helps to not have a moronic typo like "quite your day job." Anyway, thanks for taking the time to let the internet know how you feel!

You guys realize that if someone just chooses one and puts it to spam it'll send all of the future ones to spam right? You might have been able to disable their ability to use Yahoo! Alerts effectively (although they could just create another account for the sole purpose of using Yahoo! Alerts), but that's about it if they're not idiots. If they are then they just kind of don't deserve to use their emails.

SPAM? just make up a free web mail account like Hotmail, AOL, or Yahoo to give out when you have to. Never give your REAL email account to anyone but your friends! Then you can ignore all the marketing emails you get, just delete them all every 90 days or so without reading them, and you'll never be bothered by spam again!

If you watched the video, this is a concept. You'll see at 5:45 I mention about 25 alerts would constitute a decent attack. I used only 4 in the video and got 38 emails in about 4 minutes. Thus 4 = 1/6th of the suggested alerts, Simple math shows that 38 * 6 = 228, which was done in 4 minutes, so 228 / 4 = 57, which is about 1 email every second. This means about 86,400 emails a day using only this (patched) method. so yeah, Id call that an attack, wouldn't you? Thanks for watching.

See, 86,400 means nothing. The only thing you need to send emails is an SMTP server. Now, if you were to use for example, Gmail's, you could do the same, but with less effort and more control.
