I like the part when Roy seems oblivious to Janes charms and Bob says, "whats wrong, dont't you like girls?" and Roy replies "I'll stick with Horses", to which Bob kinda slides away... very funny knowing scene.
Jane Russell was the very opposite of her screen persona. Very warm and charitable. She was involved with WAVA, a organization dedicated to finding homes for orphan children from other lands. Always a good sport, she talked about the big buildup Howard Hughes gave her before the Outlaw was even released. While she did many musicals, she showed that she could be tough as nails in a dramatic roles.
So sad to hear this news today. I just bought Gentlemen Prefer Blonds the other day & loved it. First time I ever saw it. I love Marilyn but I have to say that Jane was the true star in that movie. And I have to say that Gentlemen all over the world prefer brunettes today. What a gorgeous woman! She was a real dame.
@bunniesgohopAgreed! Sometimes, I wish Roy Rogers and Jane Russeli had kissed; but, as you know, Ol' Roy don't play that jive! Iliked it better than the first. And, yes, I loved Trigger, too. I was an 8-year-old in LA when I saw this. And, that's Trigger, Jr, by the way. I can tell.
I love this movie I just got done watching the first one lol
