  • pshh anytime man!!! you rock!! thanks for the tips. cause over here i thnk you have to be at least 18. and it pissed me off.

  • I think there's an age limit here too, maybe 16? I had to show id when I got stuff done. But if you have parental consent I don't think they care if you're underage.

And cheers man =] if you want something to do I would definitely appreciate you getting your friends to check out my poetry =D

  • Cheers for the pep-talk ;)

No, but really, I know what you mean. I am starting to put my work out there more recently because I want my opinions and thoughts to be heard. And poetry is one way I can do this.

    x

  • When I get a chance and get some new tapes for my camcorder I will put my stuff straight up here!

Let the world scrutinize my work.

    x

  • You can learn a lot by letting other people see your work.

I didn't think mine was worth anything until I let my sister read some. Have a little faith in yourself.

Whilst at the same time, who gives a shit what anyone really thinks so long as you know what you've created and believe in it.

  • Well I might just swing by there.

If i don't make it, good luck.

Not that you need it, I'm sure.

If I've plucked up the courage and have a decent piece I'd like to share, I'll definitely give it a shot.

    =] x

  • That'd be cool =] upload something so I can see what your stuff is like! x

  • What time at the Poetry Cafe?

I might be in the area.

Also, that lady, Joelle, I told you about performs there too.

    I think o.O

But i will try and make it to the one on the 28th!

  • 7.30.

It which case I may have seen her perform before... who knows.

And if you have a poem you want to test out on an audience, the 28th is a good opportunity =]

  • I think i definitely will!

    x

  • The 28th at the Horse and Groom is the priority!

but I've also performing this weekend.

Sat at the Poetry Cafe in Covent Garden (£4)

and Sun at Music on the Moors Festival in Hemel Hempstead (free)

And on the 20th in Camden (£2 on Guestlist)

  • "Just another prankkkk"

You sound so cute when you say that.

    Sorry, thats cheesy.

But other than that, awesome piece.

You have this cool energy about your stuff.

    Love it. x

  • =] Thank you very much. You have to come see me perform!

  • This is fantastic! Great poem and a wonderful reading.

    :o)

  • Banoffee pie! hehe amazing! x

  • You are so exciting! You should read books on tape. I'd buy 'em! :-)

  • Hahaha cheers

  • :)! I started loving at the diiiing doooong. Such a fun poem, and you're so good at saying it.

You got yourself a subscriber for this.

  • I so agree with my dear friend Harleynanda, This is a wonderful introduction to your work! I enjoy your presentation and your energy! Keep em coming!

  • =] Thank you. I shall upload another when I write one worthy of attention.

  • You have a lot of talent, and I admire your relaxed delivery. But I want you to search for the poem "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg and ask yourself if it is to this standard. And Arthur Rimbaud's "A Season in Hell".

  • Thank you =]

Howl was brilliant. Though I watched a few videos and I think I preferred a version not performed by Ginsberg =|

I am listening to A Season in Hell now. I could not find that performed by Rimbaud. This is the first time I am hearing these names but I am assuming they are old... though I will look this up.

Ok well they are both brilliant. Is that the standard I should be aiming for?

  • No of course not. You choose your own standard. But I personally think Allen Ginsberg was one of the greatest poets that ever lived. He died in 1997. He partied with the Beatles, Bob dylan etc. during the 60s and was a big player during the days of the Summer of Love in san francisco etc.

Arthur Rimbaud was a french surrealist poet in the late part of the 18th century. He was a poor, bisexual man that lived a very rock'n'roll early life.

  • Ok I take other peoples readings being better back.

    Everyone cuts it short =|

  • Charming, and excellent delivery. Well done, and well written.

  • i absolutely love this !! please post the next episode ! !

  • =D as in a continuation of the story?

  • yes, part two, and more rrrrrrrrrrring please !!!!

  • Haha I will need to write part two. Subscribe so you know when I've posted it =p

  • lol! I love this! I want to see more! :D

  • What a fascinating intro to your work, Pennie. This is rather like a cross between poetry and performance art, and excellently done. I can see where it might be a bit taxing in this instance, but for many of us, having the stanzas written out in the 'more info' section is very beneficial. For those of us come from the old school, the absence of the written form deprives the work of some of its art (and deciphering). Your reading was wonderful. This is an excellent piece, one for my favorites.

  • I agree with you my dear friend!

    Love to you!

  • Great, and such a comfortably confident reading. Living it.

  • I don't know when I've ever seen you this chirpy. I think you should do it in real life as well as on Youtube.

I also think you should pretend to be a clock more often.

  • Haha =D I will be a clock for you whenever you want.

^^ this is my poetry face. You normally see my philosophy face.

  • Love the way you present this :)

    xxx

  • anxiety, insomnia. seriously, i think youre watching my life from from afar.

just a delicious piece. your deliveries are freaking awesome.

  • errmm....delete one "from". thanx you :p

  • =D Thank you.

Haha I only read one of the 'from''s first time round anyway.

It is definitely comforting to know you are not the only one.

  • lol this is cool :D

  • hahaha.

    perfect.

    This is so well done.

  • =D cheers. One day I'll learn it off by heart and I can perform it for real.
