  • WWE wasn't the top promotion in those days, anyway. Fighting there wouldn't have been Wahoo's biggest career ambition, in any case.

  • Wahoo wrestled for Capitol Wrestling, the predecessor to the WWF, for Vince McMahon Sr. while he was playing football in NY for the Jets. However, after getting shorted on a payoff by McMahon Wahoo lost his famous temper & was fired never to return.
