  • @GOODMUSICKanyeWest

And i hope TinTin will be as cool as this since it's using modern rotoscoping techniques

  • Who else saw this on TBS in the early 90's with Heavy Metal, Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival and Rock and Rule?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Heavy Metal is fucking God!

  • Wanna watch it because i saw JIMI HENDRIX playing PURPLE HAZE!! ♥

  • Who thinks this movie has similar rotoscoping used on Robert Zemeckis's animated movies and Cameron's Avatar?

  • does anyone know who sings the version of "Don't think twice, it's alright" in this movie? I can't find it anywhereeee

  • @taveraskid you have no clue

    me too

i was about to write that

it's not the dylan version, or peter paul and mary

  • can some1 plz give me some songs from this movie, me and my band have an performance and the theme is animation movies so we need some songs from animation movies if some1 knows some songs from american pop plz answer :)

  • This movie is great

    Ralph is da man

  • i rememeber when this came out, i was a kid. i always think of this movie when i hear that bob seger song

  • I grew up with this movie since i was 12 in the early 90's when i saw it on TBS with Vampire Hunter D, Heavy Metal, Robot Carnival, Hey Good Looking and American Pop. I bought it on video when i was 17 and one of my faves as Zalmie's mom's death made me cry at that age. Anyone who likes this should check out Pink Floyd The Wall, Grave of the Firerflies, The Doors, Tokyo Godfathers and Heavy Metal.

  • @Johnlindsey289

No disrespect fo you here but the Wall is not even in the same league with this film. That album and film turned me (and others) off to Pink Floyd for years. Yes it was a bazillion seller blah blah blah...but all kinds of crap is popular, ya know? The wall is nothing more that Water's self constructed ego monument. The fucking concept itself it about how he came to be alienated from his audience. That is why Gilmore and Wright could not even stand to be around him. ..

  • ..continued... Gilmore is a bit of douche himself but so are most rock stars...Those of us who rejected the The Wall were young adults when it was released. It was odd hearing a 38 year old bitch about his ego, teenage angst and why he hates his audience throughout a double album- it seemed disingenuous. At that time new most music from the rock giants had been sufferingly stale for years and punk had lost it's edge. The Wall was sort of a harbinger of a sucky music decade in the 80's.

  • @tjfoxx

What about Grave of the Fireflies? If you like American Pop, check out that 1988 animated classic which is another emotional but more darker and devestating animated drama about history mainly WWII.

  • @Johnlindsey289

I wil check that out dude, thanks.

  • Here is a hint... the main character is the music.

  • I love this movie!!!! i actually just watched it the other day and used it to play charades lol Kansas Is corny cor popcorn cracker jacks your the prize in my box

Jesus ..... oh thats a whole other discussion .........

  • @NonZenze: it was just an observation, no need for the sarcasm

  • I remember dropping acid and watching this at the old Eaton Centre Cineplex in the early 80s.....blew me away....

  • @trinitymike ...nice!

  • this movie is amazing! has all kinds of musics from oldies to legendary classics like hendricks, bob seger, and so much more. i reecommend this movie to any1 that loves such great music of all different kinds of genres and is really moved by music in any way.

  • Wow, I can't believe I've never heard of this movie until now. Looks pretty awesome!

  • thats cause it is. if you really appreciate and love all kinds of diferent music, then you should love this movie.

  • interesting that it went from the jewish immigrant who lost any hope of having a musical career all the way up to a blonde-haired-blue-eyed guy who succeeds in the music industry. hmmm.

haha, anyway, i love this movie.

  • awesome animated movie, it's one of my favorites. Anyone who loved this movie check out "Grave of the Fireflies" and "Pink Floyd The Wall".

  • The first time I seen this trailer was on the VHS of Booty Call

  • @OurGangFan waaa-hahahahaha!

  • I practically grew up with the trailer for this movie every single time I popped in a copy of some VHS taped that I really liked when I was a kid.

  • @DontFearTheReaper1

same here! i was always enthralled by this trailer as a child but not old enough to see the movie.. and i still havent seen it because i cant find it anywhere. but a new friend owns a copy and will show it to me:D

  • @DontFearTheReaper1 I was just talking about why I can't stand that Bob Seger song (unfortunately) because of this trailer that was on EVERY movie that I rented on VHS. Ah to be without the " dvd root menu" button.

  • happy birthday ralph bakshi

  • A GROSSLY UNDERRATED and UNDERAPPRECIATED film. Thanks for uploading the trailer!

  • It is pretty good. The only complaint I have is that I thought we could've spent more time with some of these characters.

  • @michaelrobert1974

Indeed, it's been one of my favorites for years since i was 12 when it aired on TBS back in 93.

  • nvm

  • what is the song at 1:10?

  • "Blue Haze" by Jimi Hendrix

  • That's "Purple Haze".

  • Ummm... No it's... ummm... runs away in shame...

  • Now takes modern animation of a __?__ [1:21]

[1:57] __?__ senses, rocks your body or touches your soul.

  • Now Takes Modern Animation A Quantum Leap Forward (1:21)

If It Assaults Your Senses, Rocks Your Body Or Touches Your Soul(1:57)

  • very interesting.

  • ваше гостеприимсво мой друг

  • Спасибо огромное))))

  • tThe first one is Night Moves by Bob Seger & the 2nd one is Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix.

  • whats the songs at 00:47 to 00:55 and at 01:06 to 01:26

  • 00:47-00:55 - Night Moves by Bob Segar

1:06- 1:26 - Purple Haze by Jimi Handrix

  • is the scene of nudity explicit (male or female genitalia)?

  • i dont remember nudity, if there is any at the most might be womans breasts,, with tassles i think

  • I liken how Bakshi uses bigger ladies, women who would be considered "fat" by Hollywood, in his films. To me, they are smokin' hot.

  • Agreed

  • Rotoscope is so surreal.

  • I just watched this movie the other night. It is a beautiful film that touches your soul. Thank you for finding this and for posting it.

  • It's a silly question but...is there any sex or nudity?

  • No, there's no sex or nudity, but a lot of cursing.

  • Thank god, because if there was, I'd never be able to see this. Thank you.

  • actually, there is one scene of nudity.

  • @CartoonFan56

Well it relied on characterization as it had no gore except blood in war sequences, sex or violence. It does pull you in.

  • the song is bob dylan- don`t think twice it`s alright

  • whats the song at 00:22 to 00:35?
