Well next year all Mustangs are getting a big HP increase why should the Shelby SS be left out in the cold. I personally was hoping for something new from Ford like maybe a v10 or high powered v8 "MONGOOSE" Mustang (The Snake Killer). Instead we get the return of the BOSS and a 270 HP v6.

I wish I had good news for you but I dont the 270 hp v6 sounds good that would be faster than any stock v8 from 2004 and back but my friend who works for ford said the mustang gt will have 315 hp instead of 300 hp some big leap wow ford should have had the gt into the 300's in the 90's you have these imports with lighter cars 4wheel drive with 260 hp w/4wheel drive the get off faster so we are playing catch up plus the hp to weight issue comes in2 play

You do realize the 2010 Mustang GT already has 315hp. The next mustang GT is "rumored" to have the new Coyote 5 liter 400hp motor in it. And the it's also rumored that there will be 2 V6's. An N/A 250hp and the ECO Boost twin turbo V6 that will put out around 300hp. And it's any ones guess on the Cobra. I have read it might just be an SVT vs a Shelby.

Yeah I know I just wonder when they will b ready to put the engine in the gt they r still working on it they want it to have the hp of a v-8 and the fuel economy of a v-6 so we may not use the engine till a few more years because they already presented the 2010 gt for the next 5 years unless they are going to drop the engine in it 2011 which will make the 2010 gt the ugly red headed step child of the family

First of all in the description they say it's a built ford V6 and I'm not sure but the Super Snake could have let off the gas towards the end like I said I don't know but they do say it's a built ford V6 so big deal Ford beats Ford, who cares people. Quarter mile is all that matters anyways.

Gee..I don't know...what video would I be talking about? *shakes head* It's clear from the camera angle as they approach that the noble is gaining on the gt500 and fast. Anyone that denies this is just a mustang fanboy. GT500 beat the noble to the camera, but if the race had gone on farther, it would have been different. Besides, there's no way to know what happened at the beginning of the race. Did the noble let the stang get a jump, were their traction problems? We'll never know.

One thing we know, there's footage of a Noble trying to catch up to a Shelby Supersnake. Maybe you're watching the video on an IPhone, try a bigger screen and you'll be agreeing with everyone else who's seen the footage. (I get the feeling the guy in the Shelby doesn't know what the Noble's tail lights look like.)

yea noble uses the upgraded duratec 30 from lincoln/jaguar because it has the better valvetrain (DAMB), or direct acting mechanical buckets over the ones found in the taurus/sable with RFF or roller finger followers. that alone is worth 30 hp...200hp in the taurus version, 230hp in the jag/linc

what you fail to realize is that gt 500 is governed to about 166 so its possible that noble would pass it, remove the limiter the noble's gonna need some more road.

Stock limit is lower than that, its about 156, but anyone racing one will have that taken care of with a programmer, and that noble wouldn't have a chance.

I beg to differ ive been by 156 in mine, but i do agree that noble has no chance, and yes a programer might remove the limiter, but most people getting gt 500's modded or even other cars dont remove the limiter.
