Will totally have to try the recipe for the sauce. Not so hot on the eggplant idea though.

PS actual maple sugar 10x better than brown sugar. There is an absolute world of difference in taste.

Mind you this is all coming from the girl who can actually manage to burn water. And is more likely to put pointe shoes in the oven or freezer than food.

Is regular granulated sugar ok to use in the sauce? My brown sugar is usually in the state of an unusable brick. (And yes, I'm still laughing after watching the dancing bits....)

See, this is why all the other cooking shows on TV just don't compare to this - there just isn't enough random singing and dancing and waving of veils to keep them entertaining. Nowhere near as much obvious enthusiasm and talent for the subject matter, either...
