thanks for the post.I too used to use REAL FILM,super 8,and the shit WAS costly.thanks though ,for sharing.I used to live in Grover city, next to Pismo, and MY old bank played Fresno 2 x,s (knights of Colubus hall).wow, seems like that was So long ago.We opened for Capital Punishment,we were the Vagrant Dogs.
Hey was one of these shows the one where some hippie with a tambourine run running in circles playing the thing pissing every one off. Also it seems there where quite a few fights after the show.
"There's been a couple people really asking for it out there" Hahahaha.
If memory serves, nobody ever got "it". Boo hoo hoo Mr. Rock Star, better hide in your "dressing room back stage", What a riot. Fresno Punks Fuck Off, is that what you were trying to say? Hey it could have been worse, it could have been the Black Flag show. Really Jello sorry it was so much trouble for ya. Rock Stars are as bad as hippies.
this rules. i was there, man (not at this exact show, but saw them more than once at a club the size of a closet. memories...). Thanx 4 posting this. anybody get a live version of DK's "police truck"?
I'm graduating from McLane this year and I would have never imagined that we hosted events like this. Nowadays, this wouldn't be school appropriate. At first, I thought the students nowadays acted crazy. I guess I'm wrong lol.
Thanks for looking at this video. The reason there are so few video clips from this era is that no one had video cameras. The reason that this one is short with multiple cuts is that I borrowed a film camera and bought a bit of film using it sparingly. And since film and processing were very expensive, I just shot the few short clips which you are seeing here. I wish I had shot more, but I didn't. I am glad to have what's posted here.
God I miss those days!!!! I was punk rock in 1985. I had a beautiful punk rock girlfriend who was beautiful with an incredibly perfect mohawk. Now I'm married to a stressful life of bills & bullshit. I'd love to go back to that time. . .
Great stuff. The slam-dancing scenes are the best part. People standing around the perimeter of the mosh pit having conversations, then getting in the pit, then come back and continue their conversations!
I also saw Gary Buffkin. I hope there's more of this to come in the near future.
Wow. What incredible footage. On film no less. Would love to see more. It's really, really fantastic stuff. Maybe the best early Flag footy period. Please consider posting more!
Wish we had music like this when I went to Mclane, this is clearly before my time. Awsome videos. 2009s respect for yours
