oh man that was some eye candy. I just caught the very back end of the steam era. This video really invoked some great memorys for me, ie. when i was about 6 to 10 yrs old i used to walk the 2 miles over the pit fields to where my dad worked (silverwood, pit s Yorks), and stand for hrs looking through the pit yard railings . watching the steam locos, and a little disel shunter moveing the wagons about filling them up ready for the long journey to the power stations. what a magnifficent model
Shame this layout has been dismantled! I enjoyed watching the full video, from start to end without skip! Good range of traffic going on there and nice to see steam and diesel working together! As written down below, it too has given me inspiration for my first layout!
A really nice layout, and i thought the video was really good, with the sounds etc. Would it be possible for you to show the whole layout in a video, as i am building one similar size, and it would be good to get an idea, of what i could fit in to that area.

A truely super layout, a great selection of motive power with steam & diesel. Very well built & the video has also been put togther well.
