John Denver... we are really missing out without you here today. But thank you for sharing your goodness through the beautiful music you have left for us. You have helped people all over the world to "remember" what's important. xoxo Rest In Peace.
JDs high school yearbook is on memory lane.com (Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Texas) He was a senior in 1961. You can see his senior picture on page 28/29 and Sandy Barnes picture is on page 24/25.
He wrote about that book signing party in his book, he said it was a big disappointment. But he never mentioned Sandy...lucky Sandy...so I guess it wasn't a total loss for him. I don't know how I missed this before, but thanks for posting.
Oh my goodness... I stumbled onto this... I actually watched this TV show back at age 14 and this entire video brought back the memory as though it was yesterday. I had such a crush on John and was determined to grow up and marry him... I am so thankful for his music and influence on my young life. Thank you.
No matter what decade he sang that song, or any song, had a voice that would melt you from top to bottom!!! I hope that the next generation and you know who you are, will listen to his music and embrace it like it should be!!! love ya, John
How great is this?!
