For people who say kpop is all the same, there is a huge difference between big bang/2ne1, snsd/dbsk, epik high, davichi, cnblue/ftisland, iu/k will/navi/ailee, orange caramel, sunny hill, 2am/8eight. All of them are different- and this is just focusing on the more commercialized genres. Imagine bringing in tasha/tigerjk, norazo, or others!! kpop has SO MUCH VARIETY!!

I love all kinds of music, and I'm obsessed with Kpop, but I feel it and Western are in 2 different categories, mostly. Kpop is more focused on the image (generalizing). I'm not saying is a bad thing, just that is different, so I get why people who listens to Western music only would be negative, it's a hard transition to make. Kpop is mostly about entertainment, not that much about meaningful songs. Not saying there are none, just that most of them are there to make people have fun and dance.

Haha I feel much the same way. My friends are really anti-kpop and I just don't talk to them about it. I enjoy it quite a bit. To me it isn't all that different from american pop music or anything...mass produced, autotuned, and well made people. Its what I like I suppose haha! OK, i AGREE we w/ you no doubt, i understand if someone listens to a few songs and decide it's not for them, that's fine! but don't bash it when other people say they love it. i get teased constantly for thinking those "girly" men are sexy. ESPECIALLY because i'm not asian. if i have a dollar for everytime i heard "R those girls?" i'd be a very rich black girl chilling over in korea or japan drooling over the girly boys XD

Agreed, no one has the right to tell you what you should and shouldnt listen to. I would take a pretty boy over a manly guy any day and ive grown up in New Zealand (most people here seem to prefer rugby players hehe). But thats just me.

I too get these kind of comments sometimes but i don't really mind them~ A world without haters does not exist.. well, my opinion:
K-pop music is fantastic! like you actually have some good lyrics! unlike western music, hey you've got to agree with me that the most popular songs in america talk mostly about partying, sex and stuff, but like i said it's not all of them:) some US music are great too! and about the people who call korean guys "gay" well.. for me and a lot of people, its CUTE~~

I agree 100% with your opinions!!! It bothers me so much when people say guy groups are too girly looking, or that they all look the same or the music is just like western or whatever. it's so much more different and better than they think!! like i showed my friends a song by CN Blue. it was in English and they liked it. but when i told them the band was korean and i showed them pics, they said it was bad. >.< ugh!! so frustrating!!

Hmm, Kpop is really different from Western music in my opinion! I don't think a lot of people would like be interested here, to be honest, because it's so like cutesy and stuff. I love it though. Every band is different for me, and they all have unique features.

I'm not sure why people at my school say that it sucks because they have never actually listened to it before T_T oh well, haters gonna hate. ...i think it's true. i mean we all have our different styles in clothes, music, books, movies/tv & even people...& now that i think about it, i love Kpop & i get called 'that weird asian girl' (i am sadly like the only asian in my class), while my non-asian friends can be obsessed with anime and Hello Kitty or Japanese rock bands (& i like all of these things as well!) & others dont question it!...i feel like im being duped almost...

I think what that person meant by all them looking the same is that most girl groups for example all show a cutesy image at one point which they wear short outfits and do lots of cute poses, so I guess thats why that person said they look the same.@.@ anyways I love you Dan , great video as usual :D
