  • To find out what a Thunderball is, watch Casino Royale (2006).

  • Ok. I understand everyone's entitled to their opinions. But seriously? John Barry, himself, HATED the music to The Man with the Golden Gun, but that's rated higher than For Your Eyes Only and The Living Daylights?

  • Diamonds are Forever, that low on the list.....blasphemy.

  • A View to a Kill not number 1 or 2? Are you lost?

  • my fave james bond ovie is also thunderball!

  • thunderball is the code name for the operation. M says it when hes explaining to bond

  • License to Kill at #9 and Goldeneye at #14???? Shameful...

  • First David Craig is the newest Bond (in the part1), and Glaydeez Knight is a successful recording artist. WOW

  • I am not even going to watch the top 5.

A View To A Kill is the #1 (not 7)

Is the only US#1 of all the themes from the worst movie of the series with an old actor for the title roll. Also a beautiful bond girl forbidden to appear even in a bikini and with one of the rare bad acting appearances of C Walken ever...

    it was a US#1 in 1985!!! (Madonna, M Jackson, U2, Prince, etc) not the empty-accoustic-nirvana-macarena 90's era, not the potsmoking-longhair-disco 70's era!

  • Your hate on A View to a Kill is stupid. A lot of people think that is one of the best Bond films.

  • The only Thunderball I can think of is in Britian there is a lottery called Thunderball but I obviously doubt it very much it was copied

  • This guy put Moonraker above Diamonds....no trust...

  • "Glay-deez" Knight? Are you kidding? If you can't properly pronounce the first name of one of the most talented and successful female artist of all time, you have no business picking a song list of any kind.

"You can't get much cheesier than that".

You said it best, Mr. Cheese.

And FYI, "For Your Eyes Only" is about as Bond as it gets. Part of his whole swagger is his ability to be suave and romantic & just "laid back" as much as it is breaking a bad guy's neck.

  • License to Kill is the best bond song you suck at picking.

  • Actually, the guitar riff on Man with the Golden Gun sticks out too, not just the trumpet notes. Beyond the opening notes, it's the largely the riff that drives that theme, so it should get some credit too...

  • 14: My ONLY big disagreement with this list. IMHO Goldeneye should have been in at least the top 10. It really was the only really good Brosnan film and intro.

13: Meh, I don't care for it either.

12: Yeah, I would have put this at 13, DAF is a bit better.

11: VERY UNDERRATED! One of the few good things about OP (Besides General Orlov and Mischka and Grischka).

10: Pretty much in agreement, though I would have put Goldeneye here.

    9: Agreed

    8: Agreed

7: Would have put it higher.

    6: AGREE

  • @FelixRodriguez Agreed. "All Time High" is very underrated. Fits well with the title character and her island of women...

  • @FelixRodriguez And yep, View to a Kill should probably be a bit higher. Not a great film (no Bond film is bad, but it's certainly not the best one, and that's probably an understatement...) but Duran Duran made the opening credits worth watching...

  • Good point about the opening notes to "Man with the Golden Gun."

I would have put "All Time High" and "From Russia with Love" above "License to Kill" though..."All Time High" fits really well with it's film, and "From Russia with Love" is now a fairly iconic song and film. About the only thing "License to Kill" shares with it's film is the title. I mean, it sounds like a love song, but it's a film about revenge. It just never really struck a chord with me.

  • GoldenEye was by far the best Brosnan film. And I love the theme. Tina Turner did an outstanding job there. Top 10 in my opinion. Sleek, smooth, dramatic, a sense of mystery and mystique...that song had it all. And after the hiatus of the series, the mystique of the song just kinda serves to reignite the mystique of Bond too.

However, I will say that Duran Duran did a great job with View to a Kill, and Hungry Like the Wolf would have made a great theme too. They should use it sometime

  • REALLY UR LIST IS SHITTY

  • Your rankings are shit and if I were to take a wild guess, most people would agree with me and not you. Just because you've watched all of the bond films more than once, does not give you the right to rate all of the bond theme songs. I have taken many film courses in five years of schooling and I haven't learned all I need to know about composing music for movies, but I know quite a bit. All I've seen from your list is incompetence towards musical compositions for films.

  • lol i agree with hungry like the wolves bit

  • Thunderball, the only Bond movie I haven't watched.

  • @symustafa1996 u shud it aint half bad

  • Comment removed

  • yeah whatever- i like turtles too

  • golden eye my best bond song ever

  • I don't have hair on my balls... because hair dosent grow on BALLS OF THUNNNNDER.

  • "A View to a Kill" has great lyrics?! It's a great song, but it is the most lyrically random Bond Song ever. You also lost credibility when you ranked "Diamonds are Forever" so low for, as you admitted, "no reason..."

  • @skiko15

Diamonds are Forever is good, but it's not as good as most of the ones above it...though one exception is "License to Kill"...

  • oh give him a break they make pretty good sense and tangram her best song was goldfinger so dont start whining

  • this guy is a bit of an idiot. he doesnt seem to understand many of the songs.

  • You're right. How could you rank Shirley Bassey so low!

  • you freaking wrong if you love james bond movies you have forgotten matt munro shirley basey as the greattest song for me as a james bond fallower it must be at the highest numbers from five to one

  • Meh. Frankly I'm watching these vids just to listen to the music. You're opinions are yours and I see nothing about them that's not completely subjective.

  • Goldeneye deserved to be much higher; any song written by Bono would. But I must say.... 1:43-1:47 LMAO

  • Before I find out the Number One theme I'm going to guess whats number 1:

Its "Live and Let Die" isn't it?

    (Predictable Guess)

  • License to Kill is the best imo. Next up in no particular order is Goldfinger, Goldeneye, Thunderball, and Casino Royale.

  • A View to a Kill is my favourite Bond theme song. And the movie is not as bad as you say. It's an eighties version of Goldfinger (not "Goldenfinger").

OHMSS theme tune has no lyrics, but it sounds better than most theme songs.

  • Goldeneye is a great song! It should be at least in the top 10!

  • Good video in terms of consolidating all the bond songs. I don't necessarily agree (actually not at all) with your ratings though. Good job nonetheless.

  • If you ever re-do this be sure to pronounce Gladys (Knight) correctly. And Bono too.

Otherwise good job. I enjoyed watching.

  • If you ever re-do this go back and pronounce Gladys Knight correctly. I like Gladys.

    Otherwise good job here.

  • oh my, you rated goldeneye lower than moonraker...

  • LOL, what a dumbass, GOLDENFINGER!

  • GoldenEye should be in the top ten... and Goldenfinger? well I don't know; I haven't seen that movie, perhaps Goldfinger but I'm no sure, LOL.

  • GOLDENFINGER?!

  • thunderball is the code name of nuber 2 A.K.A Largo

  • Comment removed

  • how many of you agree that the opening credits for Moonraker turned you on?

  • Iam totally in love with goldeneye i must admit :o

  • goldeneye should of been in the top 10

  • glay-dis ?? goldenfinger, Who Gave this a computer and who let him make this awfull list

  • Well from my point of view I think Pierce Brosnan was awsome. Cant complain on Roger Moore either. Favourite movie was Goldenfinger....??? What is that? Uhh...I like turtles to, but I`m not one so your opinion doesnt count:P Lol

    Cool List. 5 Stars

  • GoldenEye is classic...both the movie and song...smooth and perfectly written: when Bond came back in the 90s he returned with a blast...the movie, the song, the game...all this will forever be remembered

I shook my head when i saw it on #14

  • I know tell me about it, Goldeneye is hands down one of my favorite movies and the song never gets old its one of my favs, what a douchebag to put it on number 14 and to rank freaking duran duran higher then golden eye or die another day or tomorrow never dies...

  • @Schurti Agreed. I always thought the song had that air of menace which a good Bond theme ought to have.

  • @Schurti Even the videogame is classic! That movie brought bond back with force! I have fond memories of watching it as a kid.

  • weird al yan's spy hard song come from thunderball

  • mmmm, thunderballs

  • "glay-dis night sings a tune reminiscent of 1964's goldenfinger"

you call yourself a bond fan?

  • DanceInto: What I meant to say is that the melodic spinal cord of "License to Kill" was stolen from "Goldfinger." Listen to the opening notes of each song. They are exactly the same. In that way, it's a little reminiscent, no?

  • @TokDiYel well thunderball should be same as thunder.and TB is your favourite but i would rank it last cause it is too underwater. it is just my oppinion :)

  • @TokDiYel I think he was referring to you accidentally referring to the film as Goldenfinger. but hey, erasers on pencils right?

  • Bono=Bah-no

    Gladys=Glad-iss

  • a view to a kill is a good movie, but it is a little bit boring

  • i so agree with duran duran
