That said, bigotry is disgusting. However, we each have opinions about stereotypes of all sorts that play a role in how we interact with them. This is normal. What is disgusting is when people take certain actions based on those stereotypes, or when their opinions turn to actual hatred.

My grandfather is a long-time racist and chauvinist, and while I can't stand it, it is not illegal. (Otherwise he would be in jail for a long time, as of now, he hasn't committed a crime.)
