  • Is there a particular reason these dancers are half naked? Why not put them in traditional garb, hmm?

  • 15 dislikes from the people who live in the flat downstairs!

  • 1996 ... = real dancing.

  • zoom in for the love of god

  • @2000rayc Amen to that!

  • given that it's the same choreography from another dvd, the arrangement is kinda different, and I like the other blonde better, from the other dvd

  • Wow in the first lord of the dance everyone had huge hair, look what has happened

  • Bleh... Flatley is an arrogant icky dude of whom I prefer to avoid at any cost. Bleh... "cough, gag"

  • OMFG! They have ruin river dance!! it's suppose to be a calm, amazing, fascinating dance not one were women run around half naked, I agree with ChefForte! River dance was a piece of art that I thought would never follow a stupid crowd like they have done now, I think my grandma would be really upset :(

  • @Monkeyseatpoo River Dance is one show, Lord of the dance is an other ! If you don't like it stay with your show instead of coming criticize this one ! It's useless to compare when they propably willingly done something different !

if it had been the same you would still probably criticize ...

  • Look, this is how Irish dance is now, especially in America. So deal with it!

  • Oh dear ! How sad.....

  • Breakout is amazing, as an irish dancer i think that Michael Flatley has done a fab job.

  • nice dance

  • love the wigs !!

  • not very good! trash ((

  • Sad how even Irish dance concerts have to become into stripping shows these days.

  • @SleepingSun96 Well, if I'm not mistaken the whole point of this number in Lord of the Dance was to say to the temptress "We may be the good girls, but we can still be sexy if we want to". I know some people look at this part of the show as nothing more than half dressed women on stage dancing around, but the true message is something much deeper.

  • @ChefForte I have to disagree. I don't find "being sexy" a particularly deep concept - on the contrary, it approaches the most basic and shallow human urges. Second, any dancer can be sexy half naked (body structure etc.). The real challenge is being sexy while dressed, simply by radiating a certain energy, creating the right atmosphere - which was done beautifully in Flatly's choreography for Riverdance, and I really don't understand why he couldn't apply these principles to his other works.

  • @SleepingSun96 I see your point. Riverdance did in fact create a beautiful atmosphere without resorting to this kind of display. However I think in this moment Flatley was creating everything based on what he finds to be sexy. The outfits, and the movments seem to represent his own idea of what sexy should be. I always thought of this as the "good girls" trying to one-up the "bad girl". Beat her at her own game if you will.

  • @ChefForte I still feel that it is an incredibly cheap way to make art. Agree to disagree though.

  • @SleepingSun96 Oh get over it. Its the 21st Century not the 2nd Crusade to the Holy Land. If performers and productions want to show shapely fit women dancing in costumes that dont cover every inch of themselves then so be it. You can still go and watch the local nuns choir singers belt out a tune in the Catholic burqas I am sure.

  • It should come to Michigan ....

  • Ganz vorne links die blonde ist louise hayden
