@Paranox2000 Those elites were no match for Lu Bu though, the first time i fought Lu Bu properly i had 8 elite guards a top level Dian Wei i came out of the battle with 3 guards all on Low health and me nearly dead, but still.... i got Lu Bu :)

Never played 2, DW3 was my first experience and still the best.  I think how the fights were FILLED with enemies on the map and how while most of the enemies were fodder, some could still challenge you like elite guards and such when there were several of those. Also, why did they get rid of the bodyguards, I loved leveling them up alongside my character.

DW2 and DW3 were the best, better music, all the units looked way cooler, waaay more people to kill, you guys have to agree that when you saw a major or peasant use a musou attack that it was badass. And finally the game was alot harder which made it much more entertaining. Btw Hu Lao Gate in DW2 was enough for me to buy the game itself, the best version of it in all of the DW games.

@DriftHero77 I know. I had to keep healing them 24/7 everytime some strong dude did epic damage on one of them with a musou attack. Lu Bu was especially a pain. My bodyguards would just sit there and attack him and then get killed and I had to run away.

@JosapahRay They had the levels right in these early games , the troops in the online game are just there for you to kill for power ups and there's far too many of them , not that makes it harder though because most of them only take one or two hits , the makers think its really clever to get as many characters on screen as possible even if that means sacrificing their AI.

@JosapahRay Oh trust me, they have. Mostly everyone has their old weapons back. Sun Ce, Taishi Ci, Zhou Tai, Lu Xun, Zhen Ji, Zhang He, etc. From what I understand also, is that we'll be able to change our Weapons while we're in battle, also they'll be able to have two weapons I think? So yeah, it's not really disappointing. I was mad because of the newfags (Jin) coming in. And then I thought: It's better than nothing. DW6 was a let-down. Gan Ning was a gay pirate basically.

I still play this game, know alll the combo set ups, cpu strategies etc (and believe me you needed strategy to fight real generals on hard mode in the later stages)

I love this because it is the hardest, yet down to earth version in the whole series.

DW 2 was great, I got 3 and it seemed to be missing somthing....... all the sequals are missing somthing, but 6 seemed to be headed in the right direction ( I don't know what to think of Strikeforce.)
