Among the real shian e Ali (as) there is absolutely no controversy , if any one creates one , he/she is not one of us .In my opinion , there is no need to shorten the whole shahadah "Ash hadoanna Ameeral momeneena wa Imamal muttaqinah, Alian wali Allah, wasi o Rasool Allah , wa Khalifatho bila fasl " I have read it started in the Azaan and Aqamah right from the site of the Ghadeer e Khum , in Rasool's (s) presence , and he (s) rightfully gave a smile of approval. @mohammed2k8 Ali (as) is the Wali, Wasi and Khalifah of Rasool (sawaw). Any of these words will do in order to prove the authenticity of Maula Ali (as) name in Tashahud.

@mohammed2k8 There is many forms of tashahud. Some say Ali Wali, Some say Wasi. All are allowed. Even if the narration of the Imam is authentic according to shirazi sahab, it is still allowed.
