that is so generous its really good to give that shit away, not that you cant do it but what I would say is you may not experiment as much if you just copy those Automations, but still youre generically doing what 90% of DAW users do.
@tintala yeh you need Ableton so you cn DJ.. :? all I know is Reason/record dont support VST but Reason/Record i think its going to be just Reason 6 will supposedly do that and you dont need Record on the side its all in one
this is a very interesting way to work. coming from ableton, i can't think of an equivalent really... is there a way to do this in ableton? to have this stretchable envelopes and save them in a took kit? thanks for any help!
Once again, you have flipped my wig off. I know this must have been an insane amount of work, so THANKS FOR SHARING! This is going right into my template song, forever more.
Hey James - perhaps you could hookup a Win 7 64bit OS with Reason 4 or 5 on it and Axiom Pro and show us how to get the hyperctontrol to work properly :)
I see there are a lot of people having this same issue in the m-audio forums ... the Reason Hypercontrol file doesn't work properly ...
excellent! thanks for the toolbox. How did you create the increasing/decreasing sine wave clips? Was everything here created inside Reason/Record? I would like to create my own.
Everything was created in Reason/Record and hand drawn in. The increasing/decreasing clips were created by copying a clip, changing snap to the next lowest value (1/2, 1/4. 18 etc.) using stretch clip to tempo to cut it in half, copy it again.. stretch clip to tempo in half and so on until you reach 1/64th on snap and copy that one twice. Easier to do than you think. Now.. created the sine wave clips from scratch?... not so easy.. that took a lot of time.
@jamesbernardmusic wow. Thanks for the toolbox, then! Cubase has a tool to create sin wave automation, but it's not that functional -- you can't specify the frequency. I think it defaults to 5Hz/bar or something like that. Maybe propellerheads could add in more automation shapes in an update.
hey i need help! how do i change midi outputs in Reason?? i have a digi 003 with a midi controller keyboard connected... en the 003 midi out to a Motif Es Rack and i need to "sample" som sounds from de rack to reason but cant find a way to tell reason to send midi out to the motif any help?
@51d10u5 yeah man but i got it sorted. never checked for it in the 'file' tab its was below export. happy days. much handier, cleans up a track if you have loads of automation. cheers anyway
Once again u prove that this program has no limits. Thanks again for sharing your personal creations for download, no other company interacts with their users and shares free knowledge and tools like u guys do. Bravo!
this is brilliant! I've always struggled with automation in Reason, not that it's difficult to record it or anything but changing values takes a lot of time and disrupts the workflow. Now that I have it - happy times ahead:)
this is brilliant james, it would be nice if props could add preset shapes to the toolbox (F8) in a future version of reason as trying to manually draw in more complex shapes can be a bit time consuming
Great stuff James. I have my own file I've been building but it's all device based (specific rate values for delays, modulators etc) but I've never even thought about building something based on shapes.
This sort of thing always seemed like too much trouble to bother but I'll be definitely be using your automation clips from now on. Thanks.
well...that was genius

There aren't no reason to use the power of automation. Draws a peferct Sinus wave is so hard. Thanks a lot :D.
