  • mustangs are for women and men with manginas

  • do you know if you can use them on a car that is carbed instead of fuel injected? I want to put one on my old school truck

  • how much did this cost? im doing a motor swap in my LX and im gonna want to throw a 2 step in there for better starts

  • @Kawasakiforlife7 around 200$for everything using ebay and shopping around mostly.

  • hey man i like it, where did you get it

  • 3000rpm?

  • @FORDGTFANATIC 2100

  • popcorns ready

  • ok im guessing but you cant do this to carbureted engines right?? if so whats the step you would take??

  • Yes you cam, I was trying to figure out how to do it to a Fuel injected car.

    Both can be done.

Look on the MSD site for instructions.

  • can u buy just the 2 step device or do u hav 2 buy a whole ignition box?

  • u can buy it separate

  • Ok for anyone who is wondering on how to hook it up to work the best. I have a momentary relay hooked up so it only activates when the clutch is pressed and then a push button activates it and is activated until the clutch comes up so it only activates on the launch, it wont activate during a run and the only way to re activate it is to have the clutch down and the push button is pressed. You do not have to hold the push button, just press it once. Its a really sick set up.

  • Great sounding Stang man. gotta love the fox bodies

  • sounds good, what was it set at?

  • 2100

  • what is the point of the 2 step?

  • makes it easier to launch a vehicle.

  • ok cool, so then can you turn it on/off? also, ive noticed that it just keeps the engine at a certain rpm range right? thats pretty cool though, first time ive heard of this stuff

  • i havent used one, but it limits the engine to a set rpm and allows you to floor it, but keep the engine at the set rpm building more power/ boost (if FI) for more power upon launch, this was commonly found in imports until MSD brought it over

  • sounds like you have an o/r h pipe with a mac catback. i have the same on my 96 4.6, no better sounding exhaust

  • shorty headers w/ o/r x pipe and yes MAC cb ♠ all the way baby

  • hell yes

  • Hell yea, i have the same exhaust set up as you, can't go wrong with it. All my friends have an x pipe with MAC.

  • is this the new msd 6al 2, or ur using the older 6al with a soft touch rev control attachment?

  • can someone message me how to set up my 2 step? i need a little help, plus advice on the best way to set it up thnx

  • its very easy all u need to do is run the one wire from the 2 step to a 12v source preferably a clutch switch which should be very very close to ur clutch pedal

  • what are you using for a botton for your 2step? and what rpm?

  • lol well at the moment its at like 2100 but im not sure what im gunna set it at yet i need some warm days and some new drag radials

  • yeah mines set at 3000. what style button do u use?

  • at the moment its on a toggle switch but thats just to see if it works, i launched it today and 2100 is way to low for the suspension i have, im gunnna have to bring it up a bit, i think im gunna try and get into a clutch switch or sumthing that should make it easyer

  • yeah i dont blame you, mount it under your clutch pedal. easiest way if you can make it work.2steps are fun on the street.i have a 72 nova with a 6al and 2step at 3k. it launches hard on the ET streets.

  • sweet i cant wait to set it up
