Absolutely loved this show, watched it at tea time with my little brother. Sarah Greene her massive back combed hair! LOL Probably why i love the crystal maze so much.
They're not customised. They're regular Commodore 64 games. I remember every single one. I have a feeling they came on a multi-game tape - probably provided with the hardware as a start pack.
This is Episode 1 of Series 3, so the Vortex would have appeared at the end.
A shame the original owner of this clip is unknown as this is one of six episodes (two from Series 2, four from Series 3) which is known to exist in the BBC archives but not on the "Adventure Game" tape exchange circuit. Well, here's hoping he or she steps forward eventually....
Where's the rest! :) More ! More!

I thought it was Asteroids, not Argeroids

I had thought the commenter was refering to the actual game, not just a title appearing within the game. Of course, you are right.

They're BBC micro games.

Oh, the first three (asteroids, space invaders and scramble) aren't customized, but the later two (frogger and space panic) are.

I think this might be a series 1 episode, and the vortex didn't appear until series 2.
Excellent.
