There is no explanation as to why it is Jacobs fault. Whoever that is. The truck ran out of gas. Was Jacob driving it with out the owners permission? Then yes it is his fault. DId vandals do it? Why is it his fault? Just asking?
And yes, trucks are expensive but why would it cost the business to lose it? There are more trucks around. Maybe not as nice or whatever, but if the business was sound, a replacement would have been found. I do not say this to be mean, just curious.
@dagu52 Seems like a decent mechanic should've been able to revive that truck, save for some water damage on the interior and a new battery. If the motor wasn't hot when it went into the water, then nothing should've cracked, just pull the plugs and change the oil before you spin the motor to prevent hydro-lock. Then drain the tank, clean the carb, new battery, put new plugs back in, fresh tranny/diff oil, and fire it up. $100 would do it.
That reminds me at the boating launch two years ago. In order to release the safety chani from the boat, and the trailer you have to release tension from the trailer winch.
Guess What , Yep, as I was backing the Glastron with a 150 Hp Johnson it rolled off the trailer, and onto the cement launch ramp, Didnt seem funny at the time, but the kids were just laughing at me. They never let me forget it more than a few days at a time. Wonder how they would like wake boarding with a rowboat?
love this tune. wish it were dave singing. hope everything turned out ok on the truck thing. foghat's original version of this was on the album night shift. talking heads did it on their album more songs about buildings and food. for some dumbass reason, thought you might be worried about that. lol
Damn Peggy Im sorry to hear that.Couldnt you do something with insurance on the truck or didnt you have any?To bad you cant catch the vandals who did this and get something out of them. How did you find the truck in the river???
THere was no insurance on it except liability and who knows who it was. There were several people that didnt like the boy that left it by the river plus who knows it the person didnt just stumble upon it and do it. We found it by just watching down to the river as we drove by it and I spotted some skinned up sapling trees and sure enough it was down right there. It was an interesting day for sure.
Jacob left the truck parked on the side of the river when it ran out of gas. We dont know if he left it in gear or if vandals helped it roll. Life went on as usual for him and we have lost our business and have had a very rough time since. I have worked 80 hour weeks of minimum wage jobs since. And we are losing everything we have. We have a huge family with 5 kids still at home so our life completely changed while jacobs went on the same.
Is this a FogHat cover of TalkingHeads covering Al Green?

You need another video with just the blonde.
Console yourself with John Lennon's words of wisdom: "Imagine no possessions. It's easy if you try."
Oh right -- He had a Rolls Royce, a few mill in the bank, and a gold toilet.

did you consider "full coverage" insurance? I would think as a business owner, it would have been mandatory to get bonded.
