  • started your martingale bet to high, you should have started at 1 dollar, its a small profit but easy way to build a bankroll

  • i was thinking of going to bet £10.00 for a laugh just putting down £0.10 and doubling it if i lost, do you guys think i should bother?

  • Look at it this way. With the martingale system, if you were flipping a coin, you would break even over your lifetime of flips.

So breaking even isn't worth spending a lifetime to do something. You make more money, more consistently by getting a job.

But it is actually not 50/50, because a roulette wheel has either 1 or 2 green squares depending on what country you are in.

So the green squares ensure that you won't break even, but rather, will slowly lose a small percentage of your money.

  • @2bornot2b1984 Agreed, but not only that, flipping coins without using martingale would also cause you to break even. Using martingale offers no mathematical advantage than placing bets at random. It is a DANGEROUS thing to use and I don't know why so many people believe in it still today :D

  • If the chances where really 5 percent u must bet all ur money on 95 percent odds since u get a significant EV. Unfortunately this is not true :)

  • every spin is 50% or less with the 0 so this is bullshit

  • Martingale is a guaranteed way to lose ALL your money. I have personally seen 13 Reds in a row come up! So don't bet your house on this system :-)

  • If you want to do money on roulette. Then my tips is to simulate your system first in the software Roulette Optimizer. You can youtube it to find it...

  • I love this video

  • Nice vid but look... Do you know PERFECT LIFE roulette strategy? It is the only working roulette strategy now.. I know, I have it.. Type it into youtube, they have many testvideos, or just google it:))

  • @takurazma

    dont believe this faggot

all on his videos are fake accounts

theyre all from 6 december 2011

  • The issue is not whether you can or cannot win with the Martingale or other systems - you can win. The issue is the probability of winning. To put it another way, is the Martingale a good or a bad bet? If you use it over a number of sessions at the table, what is the probability that you will walk away winning? If that probability is below 50% (and it is) it is a bad bet. Individual game play instances, as in this video, are irrelevant. What matters is the overall probability.

  • why don't you bet on the last color that won. what are the odds of the same color winning 2 consecutive times? ie flip a coin 10 times then see if it will be alternate sides all the way

  • @johnroy58 yes

  • it's always 50:50 chance -.-

  • yep, Martingale system is a fail, i just went to a casino and see a guy using this system and lost around 1,5k because he always bet on black.

  • I've tried this system especially when there are more than 10 red or ten black numbers showing up on the tote board. Although I have won many times, I also lost three times which put me in the hole. It's not worth it mate.

  • its got flaws alright lol, very dangerous!!! why play evens when you can play the horses with say the 2nd favorites with a much more proven strike rate through history, goes like this add your stake each time by 1 after a loss... 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 and restart after win, the odds allow this method easily and the stop loss is nine consecutive losses..

  • dosn't work in casinos^^ i tried and lost 500 dollars

  • he best thing you can do is actually to bet on one of the 3 groups of numbers since then its 300%back i think. And if you do it with a small starting amount lets say 1$ you have to play atleast 3 times to have the odds on your side, then your up in 4$ but after that when you win at lets say your at 16$ you will get 48 back and you only spent 31$ so instead of winning 1$ its 17$ and the best thing is that you get more profit the more times you play.sure its easier to loose but you get more profit

  • I don't understand your logic? 5 Red's in a row at 2%. Explain please.

  • @alZiiHardstylez 50% chance of rolling a red first roll then 50% of that to get 2 reds out of 2 rolls etc etc.

  • what if the same colour show ups 10 ten times?

  • @bigpoppaverosgeorge

Then you better have a very big bank roll and a huge table limit. In reality you just lose .....a lot

  • @dottslash I lost big time when red came up 9 times.

  • @bigpoppaverosgeorge was at ac last night and black won more than ten times in a row

  • today i bet on keno, heads tails which is similar to red and black. it went: $1 loss, $2 lost, $4 lost, $8 won yes

  • lol sucker, you just lost 4 in a row.

They say you should stay on the Train.

There's logic in gambling, but at the same time its fun, stupid, and entertaining.

You don't win till you quit.

  • newer duble one color all the time change colors and you will win not risking to bet big money, it works for me, i make 200euros every day

  • i went casino last night. tune up my strategy. best of 3 is what i will call it. you bet 1-18 or 19-36 . if win bet same again. if win again skip a spin. who win best of 3 spins on same bet. if lose double bet if lose again just go back 2 single bets. trust me u will win eventually. yeah its possible red can pop up 10 times in a row, same for 19-36 . but how many times have u gone to casino and red/black pop up open time to closing. if so wheel is fixed. yeh u will lose but small. peace

  • casinos r rigged. the ones winning r more often that not friendly with staff there n they let them win to make joe bloggs think he can win too n put money in too. ive seen same chinese people winning, same people winning n non regulars lose .what i do is. stay with same thing everytime. 19-36 martingale if lose 3-4 times in row just stop a few spins then start again, better to lose 3 dollars/pound euros than whole bankroll in few spins. i stop at £10 profit and leave at £10 loss start £20.

  • Nice video! Check out my winning roulette tips too - RouletteGuySecret (dot) com

  • @TheRouletteGuySecret

    No thanks mate........if I had a real roulette secret I wouldn't tell anyone !!!

  • The system has some serious flaws

    1. Imagine after the fourth doubling of the bet you get ZERO ALL is lost

    2. Each time there is a 50-50 chance for black ( minus the Zero) hence odds are against you each round.

3 It is not unusual that RED comes 10 times in a row.then your doubling strategy ruins you totaly and you lose most of your money .ONLY for trying to get an original profit of ,what was it 5 POUNDS?

Let me tell you, that you need to secure your best with betting ZEro all the time

  • @NaturalBornHedonist yeah its 50-50 and zero means a draw casino and you lose because u get half bet back unless u bet 0 in same places. its possible to get black 100 times in a row, but never ever will same colour or number appear casino open time to closing time. ifso wheel is fixed or broken. n people will catch on n bet that colour/number n casino lose big time. casino i go to noticed wheel is biased towards low numbers 1-18, i know the biased numbers. yeh 19-36 come up but but 1-18 more

  • Ive been testing out the Martingale system for play chips on PKR for 2 days now. On day 1 i started with $32, which I managed to turn into $200 in a few hours of play. On day 2 i started with $64 and doubled it in 51 minutes flat. This /is/ a workable system, if you are disciplined enough to cut your losses in time, and don't get greedy and overbet yourself. If not, you stand to lose a lot of money, like the video poster. I'll probably end up trying this for real money next week.

  • This is the BEST video on YouTube for demonstrating the Martin Gale System....Very good indeed ;)

  • Each bet is individual so the odds are always around 50/50 of red winning everytime the fact that twenty spins previous have been red does NOT make the odds any diffrent of it being 50/50 again.

  • the number zero is what fucks you

  • lol ur so wrong.... u keep saying that each time u hit a color u dont play, the % of hitting that again is lower.... but thats not true... when u play colors the chance of hitting ur color is 48-49% ... never changes

  • recently 16 reds in a row came up and later on 10 blacks and shortly afterwards 11 blacks. But that was on an online roulette wheel. I would not trust online roulette I do not believe they are based on real wheel or a random selection as they claim. More likely that they actually cheat or the machine is programmed to beat you. And will identify your sytem and work against it. I've played for 3 years. I know for sure online roulette is not random play the real wheel instead.

  • I lost a couple of hundred euros just now using this system, with the ball landing on red 9 or 10 times! last time i´m using an online casino!

  • I have found that casino's will have a min max bet limit so that one cannot double down after 6 times, I have found this on all tables all games, this is so one cannot use this method do go in farther than 6 times, otherwise one would profit, I have seen 20 times in a row come up the same color.

  • Load an Excel file to simulate this system: dl.dropbox.com/u/17630719/Poker.xls

  • The only probablem ive had with this system is house limit once.

with low house limit you gotta bet smaller.

at 7 spins your 'probability" of change from loss is 97.2% which is the sweet spot

keep your bets so that at double 7, your at or below house limit.

  • the perverted thing about the martingale system is that it seems to work. you can play for hours and even days and congratulate yourself for the small and regular profits until that incredible streak of bad luck, which sooner or later arrives, will whipe out all of your fortune.

  • @dottslash You say: "there is a 5% chance of getting 4 reds in a row and that's why I'm betting on black"

ie there is, using this reasoning, a 95% chance of black showing up after 3 reds. Do you believe that? Of course not. For each iteration, the probability of black = probability of white = 18/37 ~ 49%. This remains true even if the same color has appeared in the previous 1,000 iterations. The ball does not have a memory. The casino "even money" bet limit is saving you from yourself.

  • @BRowe99

Absolutely I agree 100% with you and perhaps I didn't explain myself very well. I was referring to the expected probability of an event occurring exactly a number of times - i.e 5% chance of getting 4 reds in a row before any spin. I was just trying to illustrate the gamblers fallacy which lies at the behind the Martingale and the likely results (i.e. you lose) - you are of course right that after each spin the probability is 18/37 and each spin is completely independent.

  • @dottslash if you play the martingale prob the best way is simply to play an arbitrary line of reds and blacks ie say you going to play 5 spins go RBBBR regardless of what color appears then change to a completely different 5 spin ie BRRBB etc etc until you hit you chosen win amount, coupled with an abosolte loss amount where you lick your wounds and leave, of course never play it on RNG runs of 15 16 17 same color are common ive seen 19 blacks on the trot

  • @dottslash you would have had more chance if you started with 1 euro right?

but then you would have ad a smaller profit..

  • @dottslash you would have had more chance if you started with 1 euro right??

but then you would have ad a smaller profit..

  • @dottslash next time u should put in some more patience and bet with 1,- then u have less change of getting to the limit, but i guess u already know that, this is more for the people who don't..

ps sorry for my bad english ;)

  • @BRowe99 he is actually right, there is a mathimatical formula to show it, it cannot stay red forever.

the formula starts at 50% and shows as odds of probability.

you say that and sure, each ball is new and has no memory, but that doesnt change probability over time.

which it looks like you talk about and know nothing about.

over time, it will change, because of probability, simple as that, flame if u want to. im flame retardant, retard.

  • @samljer

You are confusing the probability of a series of results of the same color with the probability of that color showing up in the next spin of the wheel. They are two differenet things.

If you can make money waiting for a string of reds or blacks and then betting, why does anyone work a 9-5 job? Why spend time debating on youtube when there is a fortune to be made in the nearest casino?

I am not trying to insult anyone, I'm trying to stop you wasting your money on a fantasy.

  • @samljer "there is a mathematical formula to show it cannot stay red forever."

    No, there isn't.

  • @BRowe99 so you mean if you have to bet your life and last 5 times were a red ball, you would bet to RED or strongly BLACK??? ;))

  • @GLADIETOR "so you mean if you have to bet your life and last 5 times were a red ball, you would bet to RED or strongly BLACK??? ;))"

If I believed that the table was fair, it would not matter which I chose, they are always equal in probability. That is what "fair" means. If the wheel had a habit of showing red, I would suppose it had a bias to red, and place my chip on red. Do roulette tables have a bias? Search "Joseph Jagger" in Wikipedia.

  • @BRowe99 !The ball does not have a memory"

its just becoming a cliche now that, if a ball did have a memory do you think it would decide to land on the opposite color?

  • @BRowe99 you idiot, if it really would be like that, the odds of getting 150 reds in a row would also be 49%, but statistics show it isn't. Of course you can view each spin as a different event, but we are not interested in different events we are interested in the outcome. If you roll a dice and get the side with the 6 points for 50 times in a row then let's talk.

  • @Liimilendur Your comment demonstrates the fundamental confusion at the heart of the Gambler's Fallacy. In roulette you bet on the next play of the wheel, not on sequences of a particular color. A series of, say, 10 reds is unlikely (though not impossible) precisely *because* the probability of red for any particular play is ~ 49%. But a series of reds does not affect the outcome of the next iteration. How could it, unless the ball had a memory?

  • @Liimilendur If you believe that a sequence of, say, 8 reds, makes it likely that a black will show up at the next spin of the wheel, why are you not in a casino right now waiting for such a sequence? Why are you wasting time (and thus money) arguing here in YouTube?

  • How about if you double your bet on the colour that wins? I've seen the same colour coming up more than 12 times in a row,but the roulette doesn't keep alternating the coulors in long sequences..at least i haven't seen that as often as the first scenario(i.e.long sequences of the same colour)

By doubling your bet on the coulour that wins, all you need to wait is for the coulor to repeat,or to come out just once more, And that's a gain !

  • there are no roulette winning systems! All systems ar the same, because the winning probability doenst change. And u can prove it mathematically.

  • @rize1337 there are no roulette winning systems!

True, but people will continue to believe that there are. "Against stupidity the gods themselves strive in vain".

  • ok i did this system with like 10€ starting capital. i did 240€ in 2 days, never with a 4+same in a row throw. well i tought im going to do this everydy like takeing just 30€ profit or even less. well....as i sed....i just thought until the roulette just keept on dropping blacks till i lost all my money. this system is a FAIL! like every casino game. keep on working for your money, you gonna just loose it in the casino.

  • I lost 500 euro thanks to this system.

  • You did n't research this very well did you? Every bet you make a bet on red and black the chance is 50/50 or slightly less due to the 0/00 and it does not change every time you make a bet the odds remain the same! You should look at the beats individually not the sequence. This video proves that you can't beat the casino!!!

  • @funnytom113

I think you missed the point - it was a test of the martingale system and I think a good illustration of what can actually happen.

Of course every bet is individual that is precisely the point !

  • Despite the 150 units limit on the Even-Chances, you could have made a 160 by placing 5 units on each of the 18 black numbers in the middle of the layout and 70 units on Black. The result is the same as a single bet of 160 on Black.

Similarly for a 320 bet - 10 units on each black number and 140 on Black.

  • @glindhot

That's great - never thought of that - Thanks!

  • Though the system won 150 on the 6th spin (black), the previous 5 losses (red) totalled 300. so the system is still down 150. How much do you bet on the next spin? It hardly matters, though, as it is mathematically impossible to beat any negative expectation game with a system, however ingenious.

BTW, despite the 150 limit on black, to actually bet the system's 160 is quite easy (maybe even the 320, too). No partners, no tricks necessary :)

  • i lost over$800 using this system

  • @excriminate10

Tough luck mate, it's basically what happens with Martingale - you get lots of small wins until you hit a big loss.

  • if you dont have a job.. just keep doing this and you earn money every day.. been doing it for days now.. it works ... slow but it works

  • @Snittioett

Be careful mate - martingale can look like it works for a while until you hit a bad streak. I wouldn't advise people doing this for a living !

Look what happened to me in the video !

  • the only way that martingale system works is if you have infinite funds and no bet limit, the martingale system does not work and over the long-run you are more likely to lose then to win, it is a bad system

  • @sony8877

Yep I tend to agree which is why I posted the video - I did lose you know....

  • i feel for you bro any other casinos that u recommend?

  • @animefreak38

I actually like that Casino even though I lost that time :) , I don't like computer generated roulette at all. Virgin and Bodog seem be good trustworthy casinos and never had problems with their support, cashing up etc. Too many small dodgy casinos online in my opinion !
