Is this case still worth getting? Even with no usb 3.0 and such? Was going to make a build with the new 2011 MSI X79-GD65 8D board and this case was recommended, but I'm uncertain due to its age. Any help would be appreciated, thank you. (If anyone actually reads this lol)

@kickit246 this was the old version they updated it and now it has I think 2 or 3 usb 3.0 ports and still all of the features along with new ones. so if you can afford it, it would be highly recommended.

@MrGpu7 it didn't actually I purchased a G1 and as I was to install wouldnt fit had to take it back cause the motherboard wouldnt line up with the IO shield ports cause of that part where it separates has that fan and the 2 grommets if that wasn't there it would have been able to but no it doesn't fit so I went and brought the it says on the box it does but it doesnt

@REMIREZZ Depends on what you are doing. If you are running a lot of grpahics cards and a heavily overclocked cpu with a lot of rives, then th 800d. The extra space is great for that. If you are running a setup that is not so extreme, the 650d is great because it is more compact and still has all of the great features (cable management etc.) that the 800d is. Budget determines everything though 800d = pricey

Completely useless, seeing as a toaster CAN toast bagel's, but you'd be modifying it to do only bagels. Get the analogy? @FpsMercenary I have the H50 with a Scythe Typhoon 1450rpm intaking air at the back, and when two 140mm noctua 900rpm exhausting air at the top. Room temperature is about 25C and the CPU in idle is around 34-38. When it comes to intake air from the top I can´t answer but some people say it will improve airflow even though hot air arises and cool air is on the bottom.

Forgot to mention that this case has a faulty power button system it gets stuck everytime you power up your PC having to remove the faceplate to unstuck the button

this is a common problem with this case so much for a $300 dollar case.

@deadzo24 I recommend buying the 700D, it's got a few improvements. If you want a clear side-panel, you can pay $0.01 more on newegg.

As for the little door that covers the USB/Firewire/etc, it drops down nicely. You can also remove it completely if that's what you want.

All in all the 800D/700D is a great case with plenty of room.

Remember to upgrade the fans. I recommend Scythe GentleTyphoon 15s (1850rpm). They're very quiet and push a ton of air.

I'm into Cooler Masters cases; check out the CM HAF 922 (RED EDIT) now that's a good looking case. Fits GTX 480s like a charm and you really don't want any longer graphics card; such as the unreal 5970.

Good case, but there are things I wished they could improve, for example:

1. Adapter to fit a floppy or SD card reader etc

2. Include three fans at the top

3. Toolless hotswap with rubber

4. Be able to take out the HDD cage at the bottom to be able to put a 240mm radiator there

5. Extend the mesh at the bottom to improve ventilation

6. Removable motherboard tray

7. Better tolless optical drivebay lock

8. Increase the speed of the fans a bit, the fans in this case runs at 900rpm

@IMFDB  If someone carries a 20lb+ rig out of your house, don't think for a second they're going to be concerned with a tiny little lock. If you're more worried about people just opening your case and ganking your parts, perhaps you should choose your friends more wisely. I for one am glad they didn't add pointless features like this, the case is expensive enough already. If you want security, get a home system. Security starts at the door (or fence.)

If i'm gonna spend $300 dollars on a case the least they could do is add some Kensington locks or some other type of security. I spent over $2000 on computer hardware and Corsair overlooked the value of their products. A K-lock can be cut by wire cutters but at least it's better to try securing the case.
