  • most deathly plane ever built..

  • Most beautiful plane ever built IMO

  • fuck war, but these aircraft are just amazing

  • @AxCYeR

Readiness for war is what keeps the peace. Until we all evolve into the progressive beings of light. Which will happen never.

  • The sound of freedom is correct, because Air Force nuclear forces are ready no one dares to attack the United States codrin 1st. Strategic Air Command stood ready for 46 years. You must not have served to understand the dedication of all military men and women.

  • 0:46 - "here's the sound of freedom" this is such a crap, may be the sound of death!

  • Designed to fly with fighters, but drips BOMBS!!!!

  • thats a bad bitch...

  • B-1B looks more like a private jet than a bomber.

  • This is honestly the most beautiful bomber in the USAF inventory, and I don't understand why they took off the nuclear capability. This is the fastest bomber we have and in order to ensure prompt strike capability we really should have it nuclear capable, but also capable of dropping some nice 2,000 pounders. The RCS on the B-1 is also much lower than the B-52. Refit the Bone so it can carry ALCMs, the B83+B61 and replace the aging B-52s!

  • silly tu-160

  • Ooohhhh there's the sound of freedom wat a fuckin cock love the b1 just hate the fuckin yankeedoodles that fly it give it to a British pilot and he will hit the mark everytime and not take 3 attempts to hit a target ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • Saw one of these today... awesome machine!

  • the B2 is king but i like the B1b better it looks like a bomber

  • did I just hear "there's the sound of freedom"

    no disrespect to the aircraft.

    But get fucked.

  • @chrisjeffsmusic someone lives in canada

  • @carrionpvp hahahahaha

    Australia! Even worse I guess

  • @chrisjeffsmusic haha XD

  • @carrionpvp

    And someone lives in Texas

  • I am a b-1 pilot in the 7th bomb wing, and trust me there pulling about half of what it can do. When your in it, you get pined to the chair.

  • How much?

  • @PSNgregiskool over a billion.

  • @hawk0920 Not a problem, where's the nearest dealership?

  • Such a beautiful, majestic aircraft.

  • LMAO funny at exactly 0:42 i farted pretty loudly and the announcer says now thats the sound of freedom!

  • at 34 the plane hits a bird im pretty sure.

  • Special Delivery for North Korea -

  • Sounds of Freedom ?? heh ......funny how americans talk too much about freedom , i smell something rotten inside them.

  • @Vykuk123 no that's your own breath :)

  • @Vykuk123 umad ujealous umad???

  • edj66,

    Best quote ever, mate.

  • Sexy Bitch right there!!!

  • "The sound of freedom" No mate, that's jet engines...

Bloody Americans and their misguided patriotism.

    Very nice aircraft though.

  • @edj66

I assume you are British? I respect you and yes it is an impressive aircraft, but may I say our patriotism is not misguided. It is an honest feeling of love for our country and the freedom it provides us. As far as the sound of freedom, that's a figure of speech, yes it is jet engines, but quite nice jet engines at that.

  • @WaffleEatingWorld Perhaps patriotism isn't misguided. Maybe I just mean certain manifestations of patriotism can be misguided. I think that American patriotism is commendable, except where it focuses on your military might etc. I think that in the past British patriotism was focused in a similar way, and was similarly misguided. There are probably better things to be patriotic about than how well equipped a country is at being able to kill people. I don't know. I still like the plane though.

  • @edj66

"Misguided patriotism" lol. My parents lived in Eastern Europe. Thank God for the Americans and Edward Teller.

  • This plane just look SOOOOO BADASSS!!!!!!

  • Nice flyby vid. I actually wanted to see the Navy adopt a version of the B-1 Bravo, as the PB-1 Charlie (shooting Mk 50 torpedoes from forward and sonobuoys from aft and packing a magnetic anomaly detector in the tail)---it would be able to evade SAMs that would have the P-3 Charlie for lunch.

  • "The BONE is back" fantastic aircraft.

  • one of the most beautiful bombers - so long and tight body

  • the b-1 is kinda lame, and before people get all pissed off and stuff, my mom was their flight doc for a couple years at ellsworth

  • nice

  • B2 = Epic

  • Is look like the russian bomber.

  • this plane is the reason why Russia went down and the Cold War ended. No failure. Awesome plane.

  • So they say "You have to be TOUGH to fly the HEAVIES

  • Bunch of rednecks

  • @Reqrezentin Oh, really and how is that?

  • Pure. American. Muscle.

  • B-1B is a failure , it is a under 1 mach bomber with bombload under 15 tons (like 30x CBU 454kg bombs).. total failure

  • @ww2footage Last time I checked the B-1B is a low level strategic supersonic bomber...how is that a failure? If one of these was coming at you with a full payload of bombs, look out! The B-1B is far from a failure. Everybody says the TU-160 is better...has it ever been used in combat? I would take the B-1B any day of the week.

  • @bassplaya1549 ... B1-B is not supersonic but subsonic ,with real bombload under 15 tons while flying near ground so it can be shot down by every Stinger/Igla or Schilka/Tunguska or even vintage "WWII like AAA" (because it is not stealth so only way to penetrate air defence is low fly)... B1-B is an epic fail

  • @ww2footage theb 1b is super sonic a while back it broke the soundbarrior in orange county and it wason the news

  • @ww2footage Take 10 seconds to look and you'll find out it's a supersonic plane

  • @beeroosterm ... well ok it is a 1.2 mach plane so it is 0.2 mach faster than any other subsonic 0.99 mach jet-turbine plane - it was 2 mach plane but it was decided to make changes to it will be slightly stealthier but significantly slower - so now US Air Force have under 15 ton bombload, nonstealth 1.2 mach bomber , I must repeat that ... B1-B is an epic fail

  • Comment removed

  • @ww2footage You should probably stop using whatever source you have for what you're saying. The B-1 has the largest payload of any U.S. bomber. That's just assuming 3 bays of GBU-31's and not any other configuration. But since it's an epic failure I guess that's why its been the OEF workhorse from day one.

  • @ww2footage "The B-1B has the largest internal payload of any current bomber....In March 2008, the B-1B became the first aircraft to fly at supersonic speed using synthetic fuel." -(airforce-technology<.com)

A little effort and it's amazing what you can research in 1 second ;)

  • Presten attention on the image to 34 seconds.

    What was it?

  • This is the US most wicked bomber! Why?

Because It can carry the most devastating weapons

It is better than the B2 bomber.

If you see it coming then run for your lives.

  • The only thing that can bring down the B1 is a turkey bird.

  • fuck an a it's the sound of freedom

  • tu-160's have recently been re-instating UK airspace penetration missions off the north of Scotland, so they are not to be taken lightly, are still capable and could bring you out in a nasty rash if provoked! The b-1-b is awesome though!

  • I miss the Millville air show :(

  • i remeber seein one of these didnt have ear protection was not fun

  • For all unpatriotic Americans and foreigners, if im correct the USA has beat russia ( including the class that the b1b and tu-160 are in) in just about every avionics class, not to mention nuclear warfare. Yes the blackjack might outperform the b1b but if WE ( USA) built a plane 10 or 15 years after the blackjack wouldnt it be better? DUH.

  • you dont hear this beast untill its right over you and by then bombs are already dropped, ima crew chief for this badass peice of shit lol

  • beautiful aircraft..

  • I think the TU-160 looks better than this, but this one is alright.

  • @mattmatt115

the TU-160 is a direct copy of the B1-B, the russians just made it longer and put bigger engines on it.

  • It rolled out before the B1-B

  • spies ...... Russians are like the Chinese and copy everything thay can. Every Chicom / Russia design copies western / US military gear. Loosers!!!

  • The 'Bone" would fuck ur ass and u would be standing there with ur pants around ur ankles going what just happened?????

  • find me just one Russian ship copied from a US ship?

  • Sorry WRONG, the first version of the B-1, the B-1A was flying in the early 1970's long before the first Tu-160 prototype 70-01 made its first flight Dec. 18th 1981, first production aircraft flew on Oct 10th 1984. First production B-1B 82-0001 was delivered on 06-29-1985. First B-1A was rolled out Oct. 26 1974. The A was the pototype for the B. Hard to claim first roll out for the 160 when you were still working on Tu-22M3 in the 70's.

  • Just as the Pak-Fa is a direct copy of the F-22. God damn communists.

  • The B-1B is where it's at.

  • a moze kutas

  • Azdrubael2

    LMAO

Your comments are hilarious. Try keeping off the vodka a little more. Then again, who lost the cold war?

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • Nallenbot

Maybe in your Muslim overun country, you don't know the meaning.

    ha ha ha ha ha

  • Comment removed

  • hahah yep! :D

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA thats hilarious

The funniest part is they think they are free. FREE TO DO AS OBAMA TELLS YOU!

  • More than you ragheads are.

  • @mattmatt115 YEEHAW.

  • TU-160 bla no thanks prefer the BONE nice vid steve

    The Sound of Freedom!

  • @Azdrubael2 if it was undetected then where is the proof of this flight ever occuring?

  • I dont recall the last time the TU-160 ever did anything? Obviously no one really wants war to happen but if you got to go i'd rather take something with a proven Combat record that kicks some serious ass. I'll take the B1B as my friends in the sky

  • @SuperRumbleBee

The Tu-160 was used in Chechnya.

  • @monkeyman1140

Come to think of it, I believe they also did a few sorties in Georgia during that brief war.

  • i went to the midland CAF airsho 2009 today, this aircraft is SOOOO much better in person, to see a plane of that magnitude going that fast in person, only a few hundred yards away, is amazing, bar none.... and no theres nothing negative you can say about it

  • Mirimar 05. A B-1B Lancer sits out before the taxiway, parked on the western side of the Mirimar Air Show. A perfect sunset right over the distant mountains, making it dark enough to only see the beautiful plane's silhouette. Picture perfect. I take out the camera out of my jacket, and hold it up, admiring the scene I am about to capture. The camera runs out of battery and shuts down, a second before my finger presses down to take the picture.

  • i am proud to say this and not be nervice im the nxt generations of B1 pilots :)

  • I hope you learn to spell first.

  • i was tired when i wrote that

  • hehe, I know alot of military pilots who can't spell :) you'll be alright :)

  • How do you know for sure that you'll be flying a B1 ? Some pilots don't get to fly what they want to fly, but they fly and stick with it any how.

  • what a wonderfull machine !!!

  • The most evil, intimidating looking bomber ever made. Aircrews gotta love it. A heavy bomber that flys like a fighter. Long live the Bone.

  • it's pretty funny when the half wit commentator said 'hey now there's the sound of freedom'

then there is that seriously g@y middle america freedom music playing at same time.

  • its pretty funny when half wit people like bunnyfoofoo83 come on youtube and make fools of themselves by taking a completely unjustified shot at someone who can't defend himself. Actually, no it isn't, its seriously g@y. What would be great is if people like bunnyfoofoo83 decided to keep there sophomoric, angst-ridden drivel to themselves.

  • wow, that was said with feeling, wasn't it sunshine.

apart from none of it actually being accurate...it still dosn't subtract from the fact that i've mentioned.

    but please, carry on.

  • looks like the nosferatu plane from ace combat 6 lol

  • Global Reach, Global Power. :)

    jermwhl

it is a bombed but all the pilots compare the manuevarability of it as a fighter jet. Yes it is that nimble even when it is loaded to the 200K+ lbs. :)

Silent death. By the time you see it. 100+ 500 lbs are raining on your parade!

  • The fighter-jet maneuverabilty of the B-1B is mostly mythical. It started when the media types noticed it uses a stick rather than a yoke like most large planes use. True, it is more manueverable than a B-52, but it's no fighter jet. It weighs close to 100 tons empty, risining to 160 tones loaded. That makes it decidedly on the sluggish side. Also, the most I've ever heard of it carrying is 84 500lb bombs. Maybe you can corry more externally, but I've only heard of cruise missiles. It's not F-15

  • Nope. Most pilots that flew the B-1b came from a fighter program. Mythical perhaps to those that have not actually worked on the plane. The plane is exceptionally manuverable. WIll it brake 9g's? Nah, none of the parts will hold especially the "pins" that make the swing wing possible. But if the pilots are saying that. Who am I (or anyone else that has not piloted the craft) to argue to the contrary?

And yes they do have external mount points for additional armament.

  • Exactly. Maunverable for a plane of it size does not mean as maneuverable as a fighter. That's just a way to make a point. And I am aware of the external hardpoints; I just said as far as I know, they are used (rarely) to carry cruise missiles, not extra bombs. But in practice this is rarely used as external stores will greatly reduce the speed and range of the plane, which are two of the B-1's greatest assets.

  • Basically, it can carry more than enough inside, so there is little reason to carry external stores. Thats also why (asie from stealth) the F-22 and F-35 haave internal weapons bays. In any case, it's picking over a small point and it doesn't really matter. I was just being my usual perfectionist self, and correcting you for no good reason. I think we all know what you meant.

  • Listen,

last time. I am not the ones saying the manuevarability of the fighters. THE PILOTS themselves are! I was not going to argue with Majors, Captains, and even full bred Col. on what they thought. That is what they felt, I will take it as that.

  • It sure is dyess and ellsworth

  • Is the B1 still used by the military today?

  • Yes it is..It supplements the B-1 and B-52 in the Long Range Strategic Bombing Role as the Supersonic Bomber of the Inventory

  • yes

  • They flew missions in Afghanistan.

  • you better belive it is....

  • 66 B1-B Lancer's are still in service today

  • One of the few aircraft currently in the USAF arsenal that utilizes variable geometry wings.

And the Rockwell B-1B even has its own knock-off counterpart in the Russian inventory, the Tupolev Tu-160. Now that is something to be proud of,

  • I watched this behemoth fly at the miramar airshow back in 2006 or 2007 (can't remember). What stuck out was watching it do a high speed fly-by and doing an inclined barrel roll as it passed the crowd. Very impressive, one of my favorite bombers right behind the B-52.

  • saw this aircraft at RAF mildenhall... what a noise!! seriously never heard so many car alarms and children crying in all my life when it came for a low high speed fly past... amazing piece of machinery...!

  • seriously overshadowed by the stealth aircraft and such a pity too. one of the best looking most versatile aircraft america has ever produced.

  • I worked on the B-1B for over 10 years and I will allways miss workin on that pretty girl..

  • I have always loved the look of this plane especially with the wings back.

  • hey the b-1 is in the new transformers movie!

  • the b-1 is the best bomber in my opinion 30,000 lbs of thrut wet each engine!

  • Yes, wings full forward are 15 degrees, full aft, they are at 67.5. Just a little gee wiz information

  • same jet engine noise - just the shape different....

  • Such a beautiful aircraft. I saw 2 at a local airshow do a low high speed pass.

  • Can it Take Off Vertically? Like the F35. If it can't, it's a worthless crap. Lol, I was kidding, pals. American weaponry are the Best. Do not listen to some russian asses hu would say their is better. just say the F word to those idiots. America was, is, and always will be the Best. I do not mind if Russia comes second though, no problem. Lol

  • You're really a bit silly aren't you?

  • the wing can expand during the flight?

  • yes, b-1's have variable wing geometry

  • Like the f-14s ?

  • yeah, pretty much exactly like f-14's

  • both are from the same time, where variable wings were very "popular". Same with the Tornado, the TU 160 and the MiG23/27and some others. All are from the mid 60's to the late 70's. That was the "variable wing time".

  • that thing is huge!

  • Bones suck, it's all about the BUFF. 8th AF AMMO BITCH!!! HAHAHA, jk. But I will say them damn things will shake you out of your cot at 3am.

  • Oh and faster.

  • Beautiful AC but I think the B-58 was sexier.

  • that was my aircraft during my AF days, It's fast, huge, and packs a massive punch. Glad to see it's making a difference today!! We didn't call it the Lancer, to us it was the Bone ;)

  • I saw a B1 at the Avalon Airshow in Australia, it is great!!!!

  • I've seen a B1-B perform at an airshow....they are a remarkable piece of machinery. So the USAF has a good mix of long range aircraft. B1, B52, B2..all have thier place in our arsenal.given the long expected lifespan, the logical next aircraft, a long range supercruise stealth will be a long way off.

  • And for those of you who wasn't an adult during the cold war, I would strongly suggest to look up movie "Dr. Strangelove" on Netflix or in your local video store. It gives rather funny, but true idea why USA needed something like B1.

  • ur a dick. WTF has Dr Stranglove got to do with an airshow? I suppose your one of those people who would like to have negotiated your way out of the cold war? Lefty faggot.

I like the commentator of this video..'thats the sound freedom'. It sure is.

  • obts10,

Read my message again. Did I give any hint that US didn't need B1?

It's you who is a dick. Because you either don't know how to read, or don't understand what you reading.

  • I was wrong saying that B1 is not supersonic. It is supersonic, but at high altitudes. Initial concept, however, was that B1 should fly supersonic at ground level. But it was abandoned due to the changes of global strategic view of possible conflicts. Namely the end of the cold war. So its purpose was redefined as well as the requirements for speed and other performance characteristics.

  • It was not designed to go supersonic at high level, it was designed to go supersonic at low level, which is a trait it still maintains today. This tactic has not been abandoned, however it's role in nuclear warfare has been removed; the B-1B is now strictly a conventional munitions bomber

  • And B-1 was initially intended as supersonic bomber. However when nuclear attack strategy was reevaluated, most production planes were made subsonic.

  • You are false.

The B-1b Lancer is a Strategic Long range Heavy Bomber capable of supersonic flight (over Mach 1.5). It is largest airframe to utilize a swing-wing design and holds several world records for speed, payload and distance.

  • Actually it's max speed is mach 1.25 at sea level

  • Less resistance with higher altitude. Aircraft aren't meant to fly at sealevel, they're meant to fly at altitude (upwards of 20,000 feet) where jet engines perform much better with less resistance. The B-1b is indeed rated at 1.2 Mach at sea level but that's not where it routinely operates.

  • Great plane. ...But useless :)

  • IF IT BREAKS the sonic boom over your head, your dead......it was made to fly supersonic low to cause death to civilians

research NEW WORLD ORDER and world trade center 7

  • This is very common mistake to think that sonic boom is caused by BREAKING sound barrier. In fact It's caused when the object moves faster then the speed of sound and creates the shock wave. Learn physics. As the planes go, they do create this shock wave that can shatter the windows when fly too close. It's loud, but not louder then the artillery shot. Nobody died from it yet.

  • It was made to fly supersonic to arrive at it's target and leave the area as quickly as possible while avoiding anti-aircraft weapons, it's design is first generation stealth technology to avoid radar detection while carrying the maximum payload for it's size.

I am told it has a radar signature comparable to a Cessna.

It does have terrain following technology and fly quite low, very fast. A tactic to elude radar detection.

A sonic boom itself cannot kill anything.

  • A sonic boom can kill livestock. B-1's have done it before. When scared their heart wont restart like ours will. Kinda like when you say "my heart skipped a beat."

  • Lovely sound...better than the best music!

  • yeh this show will be showing in Melbourne airshow, airshow next week cant wait

  • That's my baby!

7th Munitions Squadron serving the 9th and 28th Bomber Squadrons from Dyess AFB.

  • Awesome bird.

Looks like the love child of a Concorde and GD F-111 Aardvark.

  • ROCKWELL BABY!!!

  • god the only other plane to come close in total aircraft sexiness was the B-58 Hustler

  • not even the B-1B still looks way nicer

  • I seen a Bone do a low pass climb, it is crazy to see a jet that big and heavy pull strait from a low atiudude to a nearly veritcal climb.

  • it be cool if it was a passenger plane like a mini Concorde.

  • B-1 at max takeoff is actually around 75,000lb heavier than Concorde.

  • I'm lucky enough to get to work on the B-1 every day. To fully awaken this beast is a frustrating task but once alive...God help you if you happen to be its intended target...

  • Will you be working on the comming B-1R?

  • Just a concept for now...but yes I will if it happens.

  • the b1b it not a concept. there has been 100 of them built. i know because my dad was in on both the building of them and the bird strike program on all 100.

  • I think he meant the B1-R

  • I used to work on the b-1 @ Grand Forks AFB. Seeing them w/ all the ventilation hoses for the electronics would make anyone believe the frustration. They leaked plenty of fluid as I recall as well.

  • 36th BS? What years? Prior to the transition from SAC to MAC?

  • What a girl, aeh car, aeh plane.

The B1-B is the hottest plane on earth/in the air.

  • You can't hear it coming when it's low and fast. By the time you hear it, the bombs have already been released and you're toast. The F-111 series was the same way. The Laotians called them "Whispering Death" during the conflict in Vietnam. Flying as low as 50 ft off the ground at over mach 1.5, and the jungle blocking the view, they didn't know what hit 'em! I've worked on both the B-1B (5.5 yrs) and the FB-111A (10 yrs) as a jet engine tech. I know them very well and have flown in both.

  • "Salute" Sir! FB-111 was an amazing aircraft. I barely remember seeing them as a kid when SAC was still around.
